If you look closely that chart covers all the road wheels, I’m guessing the chart is repeated on all the product pages.
@Tezz the jet internal is 21. The 5000 (non-TL) tire mounted on my ENVE 7.8 SES fits fine which is spec’d at 19 internal. Maybe that’s the difference? Don’t know what to say. We measured with a set of Park calipers.

I liked the data you posted! Note they tested this with 20ml sealant in the GP 5k TL…also note what Rolling Resistance says about recommended sealant amounts in their test of the GP 5k TL:
" Continental does recommend using 30 to 60 ml of sealant for the best puncture resistance (we recommend 30-40 mlin 25 mm tires)."
Also, please review their data regarding sealant amount and rolling resistance:
Note that at recommended sealant amounts, the rolling resistance gap to the standard GP 5k closes by 500mW.
Also note that Rolling Resistance used a standard tube in the GP 5k. However their own data show about a 1.5W improvement going from a standard tube to a latex tube at 100 psi. So a GP5k with latex tube vs a GP 5k TL with the recommended 40ml sealant is going to favor the tubed GP5k 9.2W to 9.6W.
Or…it’s basically a wash. So don’t get sucked in based on a hyped up rolling resistance argument. Although if tribulus terristris is your problem there might be some merit to the TLs.
@Brennus full disclosure - Orange Seal and 30-40ml of sealant. I don’t care about the higher rolling resistance, would rather seal and go because there have been weeks when I hit a goat head and flatted 3 times. Yes, 3 flats in one week is my record. I’m done with tubes.
Yeah, for sure! And, anyhow, giving up 2 watts may cost some time…but not as much time as changing out a tube three times! That’s the correct reason to go tubeless.
and far less watts than Gatorskins, which I’ve also flatted from goat head thorns.
well, this should probably be a thread of its own…but is tubeless the best protection you’ve found against those nasty bastards? I think if some cyclist could ever come up with 90% proof against tribulus…that cyclist should be in the Cycling Hall of Fame and the Fortune 500.
Yes, I’ve found tubeless to be the perfect tradeoff of high performance and protection for a road bike. Before the road bike I was commuting on Schwalbe Big Apples (Santa Cruz Superlight 29er) and could often pull out the goat head before it punctured the inner tube. For road you can go with something like Gatorskin to improve protection, but I hate the Gatorskin ride feel and you give up something like 7W versus say S-Works Turbo or GP4KII w/tubes.
!!???!?!??!!! ![]()
Is that 10 watts per tire or 10 watts overall?
I’ve got a set on my new 4.5 enves, but this weather in Reno, haven’t had a chance to get outside yet!
Overall. Over 9 watts over all.
I would notice 20 watts. ~10 watts and I probably just feel really good about myself without knowing why…
Ok…as somebody with some road tubeless experience but no dog in the GP 5k fight: would you roll out with only 20ml of sealant per tire??
Hell no.
Well, not initially anyways
I have a tendency to not fill back up until it’s completely dry in there.
Yes for a race. No for all other outside riding as (this was the worst) I’ve had a large chunk of metal tear a large gash in a tire, stopped and let the sealant puddle up, but lost a lot of sealant on the pavement. However it did seal after 3 minutes and I was able to ride the final 10 miles home on 30psi.
I’ve had two sidewall tears with tubeless, but thats happened with tubes and GP4KIIs so we can leave that because “sh** happens” and you need a new tire tubeless or not.
Reviving this thread to get updates on which pressure are you guys running your GP 5000 TL for what wheels.
I have my first long ride with them on my 7.8s and I’m a bit scared to follow enve’s recommendation. It sounds really low…
I weigh 97kg/215lbs right now and was running 70-75psi on ENVE 5.6 disc with 28mm GP5000TLs. Feels a little soft at first, but not a problem. I’ve used that pressure with all tires. The alternative is inflating higher and risking the tire blowing off the wheel. Not worth it.
What width tire?
For the record, I’m 166lbs running 25’s on a pair of 7.8s that translates in around 65psi per enve’s recommendation… which sounds scary ![]()
