Garmin Connect Online removes Dashboards

How did you set up your edge/connect app to track miles/kms on waxed chains? Do you have different ride profiles for each chain?

The first time I saw it in beta (phone, web), I did not like it. After about a week, I turned it back on, customized it, and now I prefer it. Sometimes, it is just comfortability and muscle memory. I would not go back.

I used it in Beta for a while and the training load graph was there. Now that the beta has ended it’s gone. Maybe they reset it for all users?

I vaguely remember that it must have multiple workouts in the recent past before it shows a load

iPhone Garmin Connect iPhone app now has new Home page:

:+1: and its using the same settings as web.

Gear > Other I have chains and tires:

Note “Waxed Force 2” is one of several defaults for cycling. Right now I’m mostly riding the Tarmac, so all new rides default to this gear:

That was first ride with 28c rear tire. Hated it. So yesterday I rode the Checkpoint, and after the ride changed the gear to this:

I didn’t use the beta. One day later the Training Load tile still looks like this:

in the GC app it takes one tap to get the graph:

a reminder to self that allergy season sucks.

hoping they update that tile to look like Acute Load on my 840:

3. Home Screen second scroll

Have they changed Garmin training status to be any less dumb?

Mine has just updated. I like it.

I got the notice earlier that the Beta programme is over so I guess its out in the public now the bugs are sorted. I didn’t like it at first but with a little bit of customisation I think I like it better than the previous set up.

Everything I want isn’t all still there anymore in one easy, convenient, and viewable place. I own multiple bikes and like to track the mileage and gear on each bike and the Dashboards allowed me to create a Running Dashboard, Hiking Dashboard, Road Bike, MTB, Gravel, etc and I could click on that Dashboard and see all the stats and gear for that activity in one spot. Now I have to individually go all over the place to find that information. The GUI looks slick, but the actual usage is more than 2 steps backwards.

It seems the GC is still able to show the time in zones for a single activity only. At least I could not find any place to see the information for a week or for a month.

Desktop version:

The home page is basically useless now.

On the previous version I had at a glance a view of activities, calendar, gear, 20 min power, segments. All stuff that was easily accessible with one click from the main page and integrated with each other.

Every click now sends me to some useless report page.

Give me my old settings back!!

Well thats gone well. The new version won’t load on Chrome. Apparently I should load Javascript. Went into settings a low and behold.

Edit: Suddenly started working

Worse than that, the widgets don’t even work. One is giving bad data and another says Loading Error.

Sh*t happens.
