End of teather! Again 😨 - no heart rate

I have a Garmin HRMPro+ and it does not get picked up by the TR app on the laptop. But it does on the iPhone App.

But the iPhone App doesn’t sync with other platfroms like Strava etc whilst the laptop App does …..

:confounded_face::confounded_face::unamused_face: Any help please

You must be dead.

Does your HRM have bluetooth? If not, does your laptop have ant+?

I am sure HRM has Ant+ (and bluetooth) as the PC picks it up on bluetooth but then ‘loses’ it again within a second or two.

It’s most likely pairing to something else

So is there a way I can stop it pairing from other things apart from walk into the middle of the garden and try pairing it there?:rofl:

Close all other apps, turn off devices, possibly remove from list of devices on something like a PC or phone

Also worth checking battery level, the phone might be picking it up just because it’s closer or has a stronger antenna

Thanks … I’ll try that. :+1:

My iPhone (and iPad) apps do sync with Strava. I have a similar problem when trying to use my iPad for TR and my phone for bluetooth headphones, though. I ended up turning the phone’s Bluetooth off and using corded headphones.

since switching to a tablet (Android) I have had issues with hrm disconnecting halfway through a workout and I think connecting to my phone. Which like above is being used for BT headphones, but I need to keep using it that way for roku audio reasons.

Post workout today where it dropped out after 2 laptop based workouts with no issues over the holidays I have switched it to ant+ connection on the tablet and told it to forget BT. but have not tested to see if that fixed it

This probably isn’t helpful (as it’s just my singular experience), but after two glitchy Garmin HRM’s, I ditched Garmin and went to a Wahoo HRM and it’s been flawless.

The Garmin’s had drop out’s and quickly chewed through batteries. The Wahoo has a rechargeable battery, and that alone is a huge win vs. dorking around with swapping the coin batteries in the Garmin’s.

Hey @Mad-and-slow  Did the suggesting work?

Here are extra TB steps for Bluetooth: Bluetooth Smart (4.0) Troubleshooting

Bluetooth will automatically connect to the last device used. If the Bluetooth unit can only connect to one device at a time and you want it to connect to another device, either turn the original device off or go into its Bluetooth settings and manually disconnect it, then manually connect it to the desired device.

This has been working for me, I use my phone and an iPad simultaneously while training- one for the TR workout and one for music/ video with wired headphones, depend in if it is intervals or endurance work that day. Turning off the bluetooth for whatever gets the headphones lets the other collect power, hr, cadence data automatically, consistently.
