Early Access to Android Beta - Updated TrainerRoad

Thanks again to everyone dealing with all the bugs and helping us with reports and requests. I know this part is rough, but you are really speeding up the reporting process and enabling us to get fixes out even more quickly.

Big changes for this release are the Sync Banner has been fixed to show correctly (and there are future improvements in the pipeline) and and fixed some strange interactions with certain panels and not recognizing touches.

In this version we have made the following fixes or improvements
• Fixed a problem with the Sync Banner showing too often, it should only show when actively syncing and only on the relevant screens.
• Fixed the way we calculate plan overlap in Plan Builder
• Fixed a problem the “Today” Workouts panel
• Fixed a problem with certain tablets not receiving touches.
• Some under the hood improvements to sync and calendar.

@Pete

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the beta app to see if it would help the missing calendar and now I cant see or install the beta again. Can you help?

Today’s workout using the latest version of the beta went well apart from the fact that the middle section is still disappearing and not coming back…

Same thing happened to me. Then a did alittle sprint and it came back. I think it likes the watts lol

just disable auto rotation and the block will stay, if it’s already gone, just trigger landscape and portrait again

calendar seems better, less gaps and strange things, seems to function normal after a quick look.

tonight ramp test

@nvalphen

I’ve tried that and it doesn’t work.

does it still happen with auto rotation disabled, or can’t you get it back flipping around?

(I noticed I had to give it a few tries and not twist my phone back on the mount when it was pretty flat… that would trigger the error again before it was mounted again, twisting my phone in the mount a bit more upright did the trick, but disabling auto rotation worked even better :))

I’ll try disabling it before my next ride :+1:

Splash screen to calendar = 14 secs still (after update).

I noticed today that disabling auto rotation does not disable auto rotation for TR… (An app can still read the orientation, and do something with it, e.g. a video app in landscape).

Anyway the ramptest went ok (no progress though…, Still 301 :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:). Live FTP also functional. No issues with the screen or any other.
Will try if the cadance sensor is working on the next workout, didn’t want to mess during the ramptest :grimacing:

Looking forward to ant+, as my HR strap is ant+ only

First time launching the app, nice new splash screen. Good picture of Jonathon

Syncing stopped part way through on the first launch and crashed the app, started again and seemed to continue as expected. When scrolling up quite far it will sometimes not update and go to black screen. Force restarted and it came right

Also am missing just ride data from February, and this time previous data disappeared from the bottom of the screen.

But ride data is there on the web app

@Pete Did first workout with the new app this morning, no issues but curious when you will add ant+ support? Every thing was good except couldn’t connect my garmin chest strap.

@Pete The nov30 version of the app is back to fully unusable for me on a pixle 2 running android 11. After initial loading the calendar view displays for a fraction of a second then i get a blank black screen. No nav, no menus, nothing. Clearing data and reloading does not fix it. Let me know if there is any detail I can provide to help troubelshoot, this is a pretty fundamental regression.

@Pete i tested today a recovery ride on Samsung Galaxy Tablet S4, connected Neo 2 and Vector 3 via Bluetooth and new powermatch, the ride himself started correctly, but only the target power was displayed, couldn’t see my actual power, it displayed with ------

Sorry, i haven’t a screenshot, but i have the timestamp of the ride, if you want to look:

The resistance himself feels ok in ERG mode, but i stopped the ride, because i wasn’t sure, if power will be saved when not displaying.

One other bug:

When you try to set the resistance for level mode, called Widerstand in german to 15 (a good value for Neo2) and you close an reopen the App, the resistance is back to 60, seems it is a standard value of the App, the 15 isn’t save

@fpenland We are using ANT+ internally and it should be out for testing within the next few releases.

@mattonabike and @fl33tStA We’re investigating both of these, thanks you for reporting! The remembering resistance value is on the list :+1:

Unable to Calibrate TACX Neo 2T Smart from both the Quick Access menu or the paired devices Menu. Just get a spinning wheel of death.

Screen easily gets “tilted” to panoramic view when connected to my garmin adapter mount for my phone. Causes it to be stuck in the below view opposed to the normal view with an upclose view of the interval and the zoomed out view.

System time defaulting to 0000 hours on the day of the workout once completed. Reference next to the green completed. Strava however recognized when I did start the workout however. 1507

There isn’t any way to calibrate a Neo 2T … it has no means of calibration.

Ahhh, that explains so much. Cause in the last version it would never spin down like my wahoo kickr would

To be fair, it would be neat if the app knew that and didn’t let you attempt it…

Today’s workout using the beta went really well with no issues at all.

One observation - the standard 3 character abbreviation for Power is PWR not POW.
