Deals / Sales / Discounts for Cycling "Stuff" (2023)

Core deal is tempting. I bought myself and the wife Elite Direto XRs a few months ago on an insane deal when a distributor was closing them out, but man, I CANNOT get this thing to work in erg! It’s so annoying. It’s quiet and smooth, and freeriding on Zwift is great, but Erg feels 50% harder than my old 2016 Kickr. I’ve done the updates, tried various gear combos, focused on being smooth and consistent, but it doesn’t work. My Kickr just works, and always has.

Have you tried to set the erg smoothing to something like 5-6 pedal strokes? It comes from the factory set to 1 or 2, which makes it very sensitive and aggressive to adjust power for the most minute cadence changes.

That assumes you want Zwift to be included. I have no interest in Zwift, so to me the savings are $220 from the combo you reference, or $120 from the non-Zwift combo.

Anyone in the US purchased something over $1k from Merlin Cycles? They have some good deals right now but i’m not sure how much i should factor import fees (I’m in California) to see if it’s really cheaper than buying from a shop within the States.

I’ve bought one complete bike and a frame + full complement of components and wheels from the. Highly recommend. They can have some screaming deals.

Was there any import fees for bringing them into the US?

Lake is having a 50% outlet sale on some of their shoes.

I think so, something in the order of $50-150 USD. That and shipping was a small price to pay to get a Dogma F10 DA for $6000.

Has anyone ever purchased from northwestbicycle.com? They seem to be the only vendor discounting Sram Transmission stuff so far that I’ve seen.

REI has the Wahoo Fitness POWRLINK Zero Dual-Side Power Pedals on for $799.00. Historically have they dropped lower than this?

I believe they were $499 within the last 6 months.

Redshift is having an early Black Friday sale at 25% off. No code needed.

Guess it’s worth waiting to see what other Black Friday deals pop up!

I’ve purchased from them (Northwest Bike) numerous times and never had an issue. they are on my short list of vendors who don’t charge sales tax in the US so i tend to look there early in a search… also if you sign up for their perks program (no charge) you get like 10% of most/everything in stock instantly. Prices are generally competitive (before discount). so with no tax/free ship/rewards cash off they are tough to beat.

Did you open a case with Elite? I had an issue with my suito where it was providing inconsistent resistance in erg and flat out didn’t work in resistance mode. They sent me a new motherboard which was easy enough to replace.

Untapped having a sale, up to 30% off.

Waffles are still too expensive, IMO, even with the discount. But the syrups aren’t bad now, especially if you buy the bulk options.

Challenge is clearing out their Strada Bianca Pro in 40mm non-tubeless. Its their smooth gravel tire. $24/each plus shipping. https://us.challengetires.com/shop/products/strada-bianca-1/69059

Works for me since I’m curious about riding a wide, low rolling resistance tire. I’m at the beginning of my gravel riding adventures.

I’m a big fan of the coffee flavor…cuts down on the overall sweetness. :+1:t2:
