Those are some sweet deals on those bikes !!
I’m not sure how I’d actually feel that - especially if I’m not riding a used bike side-by-side with a new bike that has an identical setup. I mean, Chris Froome didn’t even feel that his bike fit was off by 3cm according to his own claims Not so marginal losses: Chris Froome reveals recent bike set-up was “centimetres” apart from Team Sky days due to “oversight” | road.cc so how would we mere mortals feel anything as invisible as stiffness?
I don’t know if I would feel a difference riding the bike, honestly. But composite fatigue is a real thing and the differences are measurable, which is more than you can say for a lot of performance claims in the bike world.
As far as the Froome thing, I don’t know, man. I am a bit of princess and the pea with my bike measurements. My neck definitely feels when my stem is 10 mm too long. And one time I swapped pedals and couldn’t figure out why my saddle felt too low. Answer: 3mm more stack.
Saw all these new posts and was hoping to find some great deals. And instead another Zone 2 thread. ![]()
LMAO - what can I say, had to say it.
In the past, they did sell bikes with scratches, etc., and it was documented.
I wouldn’t buy a pro’s used bike for any price, but that’s me.
On the stiffness thing, I once had a pro tell me the Cannondales they rode were painfully stiff and jittery. That was not this year though, so I have no idea if it influenced this specific bike choice.
Thanks. I wondered how I could do that last year and ended up renewing at full price.
The Specialized pro (professional, not the model) bikes are said to be a completely different build than the consumer bikes, with allegedly twice the amount of carbon plies in the headtube area.
Maybe Cannondale does something similar, and a year of riding is still better than the stuff we can buy?
The probably have to do that so they don’t get the dreaded carbon fatigue within the season.
It’s a decent deal, but the best TP discount code is the British Cycling one. It’s 40% off. Or was when I worked there.
BTD has the Garmin Varia for $150 today!
REI and other channels have started their holiday sales.
Quick search finds Tacx Neo 2T for $899 and Wahoo Kick Core for $479.
Various Garmin watches are on sale too
Even better! Thanks!
That’s a nice deal on the Neo.
But the kickr core at 479$ i am not sure about. It’s normally at 600$ and comes with 1 yr of Zwift membership. I don’t see anywhere if the zwift membership is included at that price. If not, that’s no deal.
A Kick Core Plus Zwift combo retails normally for $699, not $599
Color me surprised Zwift is giving out free anything without the Hub.
42% off of everything and free shipping over $55.

My bad then. Still not tht big of a sale. Zwift membership is $180 per year. So 50$ savings.
Are the quality control of kicker cores resolved now?
