Thanks - I have a USAC membership. I just couldn’t find the code. ![]()
I just got an email from the Feed re the Maurten BoGo sale. It’s still live, but today’s the last day.
Their ad has said “today only” for at least five days now. ![]()
I don’t ever recall seeing a time frame or end date for the BOGO sale on their site, though I did notice that the promo-code in the header is followed with “Free shipping today.”

I might have missed it, but I don’t think they ever said anywhere, “Today Only.”
In any case, the email now says it ends tonight at Midnight (doesn’t indicate timezone).
The Xpedo APX Smart Trainer
For those of you who have the VIP with Clever Training, how does the 10% off work? They advertise in a couple spots that you get 10% instant discount on most full price products. However after signing up I logged in and have played around adding multiple different full price products (all which have the “VIP Benefits Apply!” badge next to them) to the cart but I have not found a single things that ever ends up being 10% off. On some items when I am in the basket it will tell my that I earn X points which lines up with one of the other benefits. But even then that isn’t being consistent for me as some of the items don’t seem to indicate in the basket that I am going to earn points.
Just wondering what I am missing or doing wrong.
I believe that most trainers and pedal power meters are ineligible for the 10%. However, on items not included in the 10% off you get 1 point per $10 with each point having the value of $1. Haven’t really purchased a lot with CT but for example I purchased wahoo kickr and got 120points then in another transaction purchased the Kickr desk and used my points to get $120 off and then earned another 13 points that I used to get $13 off on a zwift membership card
In reality the biggest perk of VIP is the once/twice a year big 10-20% sales with almost no restrictions. Other than that most things that you would want will just earn the 1pt/$10
Yeah, I’ve tried a bunch of different categories just to see. Tailwind nutrition, yoga socks, DC Rainmaker bike jersey, bike lights, swim buoy, trainer, bike computer, etc. I must’ve tried 15+ different items and brands and not a single things was 10% off. Not a big deal as the membership was just $5, but annoying that the ‘10% instant discount on most full price products’ they advertise seems to be more like 10% off pretty much no products
The points expire after 180 days. I didnt know that, and lost my points with no “warning your points are going to expire” message. So I’m completely done with CT now.
Usually with wahoo / garmin related products if you order outside of the 20% off period you get points and not the 10% off. It wont let you double dip.
For some reason I did not get points for my speedplay purchase. The CS is pretty good if you email them at sales@clevertraing.com. Not sure if there is an issue with there system.
I either purchase from clever, direct from Garmin, biketiresdirect or REI. Biketires no tax which is nice as i am in GA and they are based in Oregon. Saved some $$ when I bought my enve 5.6 disc from them and they are authorized dealer which I always check with bigger purchases.
This one bit me too and it was a bummer. Probably not enough for me to give up on them, but hopefully I will remember to add a note after major purchases to use up unused points 5.5 months out or so. In my case I probably missed mine by a few weeks and it felt bad throwing away ~$65 as it was from my wife’s fenix 6 purchase ![]()
biketiresdirect is having a 20% off sale today’s for Mother’s Day. I didn’t add every product on their website to my cart but it seems like most things work. I added Enve wheels and they discounted 20% but Zipp did not. Garmin did not but all Assos did discount. Cool thing on Enve (and most other items I see) is they appear to give both 20% off and 5% in points toward future purchases.
Damn that is good. I bought my enves them and would have been nice to get 20% off. Bonus no tax as well.
Edit: since ordering the enves I have ordered a few more things. Very responsive and good company to deal with.
ENVE doesn’t appear to be discounting now. That didn’t take long ![]()
Wouldn’t let me use the code on the Enve wheels or GP 5000 tires I added to my cart. Although the daily special price on the tires of $38.xx is good.
If it’s important to you maybe go through the process of becoming a gold member? I can post links all day that it works (for me) but some additional steps are perhaps required for some. I don’t recall paying for membership but I have ordered from them in the past. Perhaps for non members they explain the process of becoming a member on their website?
That said, yes Enve is still discounted, but perhaps only for Gold members. I’m not affiliated with the website just trying to pass along a deal.
I checked Amazon vs this for GP5000TL and Amazon was still 20% less.
