I thought about starting a new thread, but I think this just about covers it!
I’ve just gone through 3 ramp tests in a row where I’ve walked away with the same result. I was having good gains towards at the end of each block of build phase (lots of Power PR’s etc and generally feeling stronger), but then I hit a rest week and by the time the FTP test rolls around I’m back to square one.
Assuming Low Volume -
Would another option be to switch the Tuesday and Thursday workouts at the start of a block? i.e. doing the ramp test 2 days after you’ve done a regular workout and have at least one reasonable ride under your belt?
