BTW - From the podcast – it is actually very easy to stand up on a tandem. Not so much to unleash a killer sprint, but to keep the momentum up on rollers and such. A decent team can learn to stand up together and smoothly put the power down. I stoked and my dad captained for about 7-8 years when I was a youth. Tandems are mega fun and good teams can get them flying down the road.
