Too soon… I just rode the GFNY fondo yesterday!
I didn’t manage to finish it. Got through 75km and 1400m of climbing, out of a total 136km and 1940m. 55% of the distance, 70% of the climbing. But it still took 7.2 hours to get there. I got 60km in four hours, and the last 15km took three hours more because I was just wiped out.
And yes, my butt and my legs are killing me.

However, I’m sure you could see a pretty happy face if there was a picture from the other side

Yep, I don’t have a hardware problem. I have a software problem, but those socks save 0.5 of a watt at 32 kph for only $50!

Yup. More details on the ride, and the plan for 2024, in the original thread…
Ride report!
GFNY on Sunday was a good test of my endurance and a good learning experience. Planned for 140W NP (66%), and managed 135W NP (yielding ~15.5kph/9.6mph) for the first 3.8 hours. Huge win on that front, considering I’ve only done five four(ish)-hour rides EVER and the last one was January 2021.
All-time longest ride: 7:11
All-time most climbing: Garmin says 1425m, RideWithGPS says 1162m (why???)
All-time most work: 2690 kcal
Four good hours and 59km/+780m was all the body had, th…

Definitely appropriate, as I am staring down Mary Austin or Carpathian Peak +2 as options for my Threshold workout to night
