I’d like to suggest a new debate thread for next week: How do you pronounce GIF?
It may be pronounced like “Jif”, the peanut butter or is it supposed to be pronounced like “gift” where the T is silent?
I go with the French zcheef. 
We’d have to start a whole new thread to get the answer. Pick a side, the war is coming.
Kind of related. Years ago when their popularity began to rise, pronounced meme as ‘me me’ in my head. Definitely got made fun of the first time I said it that way and was with a group of people

Well I’m not getting dragged into the gif pronunciation debate…
It’s definitely pronounced gif, not gif, and I can’t be any clearer than that. It would be like pronouncing Zwift as Zwift and wouldn’t that be silly?
I remember reading a while ago that the guy who invented them said it like “jif.” He was wrong then and remains wrong today.
