LOL, funny story. I backed a Bikease Kickstarter years ago, and this mount came as an “extra”. I actually use it more than the actual KS product I wanted 
I use it on days when I expect to ride 3+ hours on the road and may not have access to water. Super handy and I don’t notice any handling issues. A solid cage is needed because I have ejected bottles on occasion. I use smaller bottles and only place an empty large one there once they are empty. Otherwise, it is a great option for long days.
