Just noticed on my calendar that a recent outdoor ride displays as ‘cycling’ instead of showing the workout name:
And btw, what are the two stacked upward arrows along with the TR, Strava, and Garmin logos?

The name that shows there for an outside activity is what we receive as a title from your device/head unit/ Strava file. If you update the workout name externally (for instance, if you change the workout’s name on Strava), that change usually syncs back and will update in TrainerRoad.
Generally when you load up an outside workout on a device, the completed activity comes back to us with that workout’s name as the filename. Sometimes, for whatever reason, a device won’t send the workout back this way. It’s likely your device named that workout “Cycling” and that’s what we’re displaying here.
The upward arrow logo is Wahoo. The logos attached to that workout tell me:
The specific TrainerRoad workout name this is matched to should be visible in the workout details when you click it on your calendar, even if you (or the device) changes the title.
Thank you for explaining that. Interestingly I don’t think I’ve purposely renamed any outside TR workout activities in Strava, they all show in Strava, including this one, as ‘Morning Gravel Ride’ or whatever.
Any chance you can enlighten me on why some non-workout-associated outdoor rides are given WL ratings and classifications and some are not?
The Workout Levels on non-TR rides looks like a bug. I will take a look tomorrow.
I am curious as to what you might find here as I too have suffered from AI FTP weirdness after outdoor rides, both planned/unplanned + structured/unstructured
The icons/ levels are unrelated to FTP Prediction. Workout levels are not incorporated into any facet of the AI; the AI is just looking at your performance.
