Climbing for Road Race, opinions?

Hello everyone, my name is Marco I am from Chile, I am 32 years old and I weigh 60kg and I have been a newvie cyclist for 2 years, my ftp is 191, the last 12 months I have been steadily 3 to 5 times a week on a smart roller, I chose the plan “Climbing for Road Race” because I simply like to climb slopes, it is what entertains me, I want to know experiences with this training plan, have you really improved climbing? Since in these 2 years more than 1000 meters above sea level is hell for me and I would like to improve that aspect, I’ve been 1 month and 25 days with this plan I feel strong but I don’t know if I’m really doing things right. Sorry for my English is not very good!

ps: this is how my plan looks

Hey there! Welcome to the TR community!

I just checked out your plan, and it looks like you’re doing great! You seem to be very consistent, which is key to progressing your fitness.

Trusting the plan and continuing to do your workouts is what will eventually make you faster – and it looks like you’re on the right track!

The Base phase you are in at the moment will set the foundation you’ll need for higher-intensity work down the road. The Build phase will continue to work off of your Base phase and push your power higher. Finally, the Specialty phase will “sharpen” your fitness with specific workouts meant to replicate the types of efforts you’d like to be best at.

Keep up the good work, and over time, you’ll be getting faster for sure! :muscle:

Let me know if you have any other questions!
