Can i use the Garmin Edge 1030 plus with ERG mode once i pushed the training from Trainerroad to Garmin as an outside workout?

Hi There,

Hope someone with a Garmin Edge 1030 plus can help me out on the following topic.
Can i use the Garmin Edge 1030 plus with ERG mode once i pushed the training from Trainerroad to Garmin as an outside workout to my Tacx Flux?

I’m not so sure if the ERG mode works, i can’t select it in my options. I tried it out on a work out, but seems at the beginning of an interval it picks up the targeted power, but after a couple of seconds it already drops the ERG mode and it’s on resistance.

Thx in advance!

Regards Niels

Yes you can (well you can on an 830) - it will even powermatch if you have a power meter.

I was really impressed with it to be honest.

This was with an elite zumo - haven’t tried it with my Kickr yet.

EDIT: i’ve done a little digging and it does seem that garmin managed to break this feature (the shock) But the latest firmware change notes (fw 4.0) for the 1030 plus lists this as fixed though.

“-Fixed issues with grade, power, and resistance controls for smart trainers.”

Thanks! I updated the firmware and will try it out in my next session.
