I’m nearing the end of mid-distance triathlon high volume BUILD plan, and have planned to start SPECIALTY in 2 weeks leading up to my A race 22nd Sept.

Due to a few days off with illness and holiday this BUILD phase has been a little interrupted and I don’t feel I’ve got the full benefit, so, would it be a valid approach to re-do BUILD leading into my race instead of doing the SPECIALTY plan?


No, just continue into Specialty.

For triathlon I think you’re generally pretty safe racing coming off of build - just make sure you throw in the taper time from the specialty plan
