I’ve been using this weight gainer for a while and I’m wondering if I might be better off without it.

It has a good ratio of carbs to protein (about 4:1). I’ve been using it only after higher intensity rides or rides 2h and longer (1 scoop - 48g carbs, 14g protein) and it helps me with hitting my macros for those days when I burn lots of calories.
The thing that’s worrying me is that It’s just sugar and since young age I’ve always had my fasting glucose on the higher side.
Do you guys think that using these shakes right after workout provide some recovery benefit without any negative health consequences?
