Alcohol & fitness study…

What are peoples thoughts on this? Should it be taken at face value? I don’t drink much/at all, I prefer to eat my calories :sweat_smile:

Between the age of 18 and 64 you can expect your VO2 max to substantially decline. Between 18 and 64 you can expect your drinking habits to substantially decline unless you develop a dependency.

I’d love to see their conclusions if they break down their data into say 5 year age windows so you can mostly discount the natural effects of ageing on both vo2 max and drinking habits.

Makes sense to me. Most sports have a strong social component - and along with the social component comes drinking alcohol. I played rugby for years, and drinking beer after games was part of the sport. Went hand in hand.
