How did you rate that workout?
Also, was it a part of your plan?
That’s a really long, high TSS workout, which is likely why we’re scaling down the rest of your week now..

I rated it as “hard”, it was pretty hard but nothing crazy.
no it wasn’t part of my plan, you have been saying the past two days I need to do a “hard” “challenging” ride for you to see what the AI is doing with my FTP prediction.
Honest and I am not wishing to be rude but is “Eddie” a real person or a chat bot?
The suggestion was to find a harder Workout alternative to a planned ride… not throw in something entirely new to the plan.
What makes you think a sweet spot ride on a Thursday is something entirely new?
Rich is English not your first language? For someone not trying to be rude your entire string of posts have come off as rude and combative. Eddie is a real person.
What is your goal? Are you trying to prove AI wrong?
Eddie is a real person. ![]()
Believe it or not, we don’t use chatbots here at TR. ![]()
I’m only trying to clarify things here for you, myself, and everyone else in this thread.
Yes, I wanted you to get a hard workout in, and you did, so that’s great!
It helps to know if this was a part of your plan or a hand-picked workout. The more I know, the better when it comes to looking at your training for potential issues on our end. ![]()
Because the original poster said exactly that in the post I was replying to..
no it wasn’t part of my plan,
It is. rude, no. Am I frustrated? Yes. A system that I have paid for, and continue to pay for, has been modified in such a way that it’s gone from being a reliable tool I’ve actively recommended to many people, to something that just no longer seems to work for me.
I appreciate Eddie’s time, if he is in fact a real person, but yesterday he made several comments that didn’t make sense. He later came back and confirmed he’d made a mistake, and then in his last message he asked whether that ride was part of my plan, despite having told me several times to schedule a harder session that wasn’t part of my plan. All of this has led me to genuinely question whether he is a real person or an automated chatbot. There are plenty of those around, so it’s not an unreasonable question.
Rest assured, I spent a little more time writing this post to ensure my spelling and grammar were improved. Just go careful with your own comments, written communication doesn’t always come naturally to some people, despite a lifetime of trying.
I had a SS level 6 session in my plan for today, I changed it to a level 10.1 to make it harder.
A workout alternative is by definition not part of your plan. It’s an alternative to wats on your plan.
Sorry Eddie, no offence in that case, it was a genuine question, and it’s good to know there are no chatbots at TR
The request was to do an alternative and it wasn’t clear if that was done or a new ride added.. but all clarified now ![]()
I think it was a fair question, and I think it’s fair to be frustrated, but at times your tone is argumentative/combative.
I’m someone who struggles with this too. I mean to say something straightforward and people take offense or read intent that is not there. As someone with similar experience, I encourage you to re-read before you post and consider how others will perceive it. Then modify if needed and read it again. Remember that most folks are just trying to help, no matter how frustrated you are. I fail sometimes, and it reminds me to focus on it again!
Hope this gets resolved and TR things start to work for you again.
Understood. Honestly, I don’t really have the time or inclination to spend loads of time on a forum, but it seems tickets are taking around 5+ days to be answered (I’ve submitted another one), and the online chat no longer seems to be working, so this feels like the only real route to finding a resolution. It’s safe to say that up until now I was paying it very little time or consideration. That said, I appreciate what you’re saying, and I’ll make an effort to spend more time spell‑checking, correcting grammar, and ensuring the overall tone is clear and polite.
Just to be transparent, we responded to your last support ticket three times without hearing back before we closed it out.
Also, chat has been back up and running for a few days now, so that’s always an option when you need immediate assistance moving forward.
I’m working on your case with others on the team, so I’ll ensure that we close the loop with your new support ticket to keep things running efficiently. ![]()
As I said before, one way to make progress here would be to go back and edit your RPE survey responses to reflect the work you actually did instead of the prescribed work. That’s going to have a big impact on how we view your training.
Many thanks. I’ll try to find time to do that, it’s just likely to be a long and time‑consuming task. How far back do I need to go?
this is fantastic news!
I wouldn’t focus on working back to a specific date. Just do what you can starting from today and moving backward.
I’d say a few weeks at the least would be a good place to start, but the further you can go the better.
Let me know once you’ve made some progress and I’ll take another look at things on the backend.
I sure hope this thread goes the distance. I want to see how this works out. So far my only conclusion is that the ai appears to hate those with ftp over 300
Joe
Agree. This FTP measurement has given me +10 in 22 days and instead dropped me 13 in 28 days. Strangely the time period stayed locked at 28 days, never changing. This is with me hitting my time in the zones with ERG for SS, threshold and VO2. I will say the workout levels do seem to be pretty accurate but the FTP measurement is spastic and demoralizing. And yea, I would rather be outside and hitting the hills with repeats. You should also use Alex Wild to help design some Gravel Training Plans.
