Winter = hot shower. All the way. Especially after a run, usually i walk for a minute or 2 and i get pretty cold pretty fast. So to warm myself up, and get my skin back to temp, hot shower it is. Get gradually hotter too on the colder days. It’s also the only time that i’ll be able to do a lava bath (like mentioned above that their wife showers in lava)
During summer, if i only take a hot shower and it’s warm out… (above 25 C) i’ll keep sweating for 45 minute post workout, so i start warm and finish cold. So weird thing, at my workplace (where i used to commute to pre pandemic) we had awesome facilities for changing and showering. Except, one big weird thing…you could control the shower temp. There was only a warm/hot temp available. So you could often see me still wiping off sweat after my shower and as i was getting to my desk as my body was trying to cool off
