Adaptive Training Closed Beta Update

Yes.

No.

No.

With power, yes before release. With HR, I think they have said they have a way to approximate load based on HR, could be wrong. With just speed… :man_shrugging:.

No additional third part data is being used. They think they might be able to improve it with that data in the future. But not now and will take experimentation to see if it does anything.

Hence why it should be an FAQ … These have been asked so many times that everyone knows the answers

Hey Trevor,

all of this stuff is explicitly addressed in the educational and instructional materials we have planned for when AT is rolled out officially to all athletes. But you make a really good point about communicating it during the Beta period! Thank you for suggesting this and please keep pointing out any issues of confusion/ curiosity that arise, and we’ll make sure to cover all of them.

To be clear, those are not my questions … I cited them because in scanning through the other threads, these are questions that seem to crop up again and again … Hence the F in FAQ …

Do a shot every time someone asks about runs and swims. Finish your drink every time someone asks about data privacy/invasiveness.

I’m not 100% certain your answer on outdoor rides is correct right now. Doesn’t it have to be an actual outdoor workout variant, rather than just a ‘I rode outside with a power meter’?
Could be wrong and I know longer term plans are for all rides to be analysed but right now for beta users I didn’t think that was the case.

@Nate_Pearson has said that it is ‘working internally’ and they just want to get it ‘a little more accurate’ before they release it into the beta. I don’t know that he’s 100% committed to it being there at general availability, but he’s made statements that make it sound like ‘soon’.

AFAIK:

TR based outside workouts following a defined workout via head unit are currently in place, analyzed and applied to the AT model.

Unstructured outside ride without an “outside workout” in TR are only available to the internal TR people, not the beta group. It sounds like it’s getting close, but we still do not have that yet. TR strongly knows and plans to have this functioning, so they have a fuller picture of your training and performance in and out of workouts.

Chad’s exactly right. Structured TR Outside Workouts are currently included in Adaptive Training’s beta functionality, and unstructured/ non-TR outside rides will be included very soon.

Does this include doing an outside ride and associating it after the fact to an indoor workout? Ex.: Ride for 1.5hrs outside at .69 IF and then associate that to Baxter afterwards.

Yes, that’ll currently be incorporated into AT’s recommendations.

Hi @bnied. Can you provide any updates on A.T. yet and/or if we’ll see a Podcast this Thursday? Thank you for any information you can provide.

Only 50 in so far!

These beta invites are going to be worth more than a PS5

I think the “very soon” is an overstep.

We have something working internally, and we are continuing to work on it. It is a high priority for us.

@Nate_Pearson do you guys prioritize those under a plan builder plan for the Beta group? Or anyone under a plan (even the regular base>build>specialty) are considered?

Just making sure Im not impacting my chances to get access if I follow the regular plans haha

Nope, been a user for 9 years so hopefully will be near the top of the list.

Sorry if I missed it, but are they planning on adding people every week? Like a block every Thursday. Or just trickling people in as they can sustain?

This, and also
