Looks like the new one has wider trays for up to 5" tires and a different swing-lock mechanism. Of no use to me but might be important to others

Yes true and from what you all say the old model is tested and bomb proof. Also a video I saw the quick rack is closer to your car when in the hitch which is nice.

I tend to overthink purchases with items I plan to keep for a long time / life but going to order today. Thanks for all of the help and thread has been very informative.

I’ve seen loads of people give 1Up racks rave reviews over the years. The thing that confuses me is # of bikes capacity. I know I’ve seen people rocking three and four trays on they’re setup. But when you look at 1Up’s documentation they don’t support that. So what’s the real deal? Are any of you do…

I have the 1up 2 bike rack with the additional +2 bike add on (for a total of 4 bikes). It works and I’ve driven 7 hours with this setup.
