Any support for 4iiii Viiiiva?
Ben,
We support the 4iiii Viiiiva on all of our platforms as a heart rate monitor only (iOS, Android, Mac, PC). But we currently do not support it as a “bridging device”. In other words, we don’t support the ability for the Viiiiva to interpret ANT+ signals and rebroadcast that data over Bluetooth. Though this is something we may be adding support for in the future.
Feel free to give us a shout at support@trainerroad.com if you have any other questions or concerns.
Thanks!
Love TR. Been using it for 2 years. Eagerly awaiting 4iii Viiiiva bridge support so that I can get HR data during my rides.
Thanks!
Nick,
please add support for the Viiiva ANT+ bridge to the apps. I just bought one in order to not having to exchange all my ANT+ devices with ones that also send on BT.
Hey Roland!
For the time being, we have no plans to support the bridging devices on the market currently since they all use different protocols and would require individual code for each and every device. We are expecting an industry standard to be adopted in the future, similar to ANT+ FE-C, that will allow us to write code for one protocol that will apply to all devices. This not only helps with reliability but also cuts down on development resources so that we can pursue other big major app improvements 🙂
Sorry I don’t have better news for you at this time!
