  • AI FTP Prediction shows what your FTP is projected to be in the future. If your training changes, your predicted FTP will update in seconds to show you the impact adjustments may have on your fitness.

Training Approach Slide

The Training Approach slider lets you choose how demanding you want your training to be across all of your training recommendations. This affects workout recommendations, overall training load, and recovery.

Dial the training approach to match your capacity:

  • Turn it up when you can recover and fuel well to convert more intensity into fitness. When you can prioritize training, nutrition, and rest, choose a higher setting to add purposeful stress and accelerate progress.
  • Turn it down when time and energy are tight so you maintain momentum. If work, travel, stress, or limited sleep cut into recovery, choose a less demanding setting to stay consistent without overdoing it.

Training Zone Control 

You can now control the ease or difficulty of workout recommendations in each training zone (Endurance – Anaerobic). If you want to improve in a certain training zone or you’re naturally stronger in a zone, you can nudge TrainerRoad AI to pick harder or easier workouts in certain zones.

Dynamic Endurance

In your training plan, you can set the maximum duration for your longer endurance workouts. TrainerRoad AI will scale your long rides gradually toward that maximum as your fitness improves. If you’re working toward a longer event, it will help you work up to longer durations on the bike. You can adjust maximum endurance duration at any time, so you get endurance progress to fit both your goals & schedule. This will not affect the length of endurance sessions intended for active recovery.


AI Workout Alternates

If a planned workout doesn’t fit your schedule or energy level, TrainerRoad AI gives you options that are clear and easy to choose from. In the workout drawer, you’ll see “Workout Alternates.” These are workouts that are similar to the planned session. You can easily select workouts that are easier, harder, shorter, or longer, while still working toward your training goals.

Workout Alternates allow you to stay in control, adjusting workouts on so you can stay on track and moving toward your goals no matter what life sends your way.
