Ah, ok. I didnât realize any sound accompanied the TR instructions. I donât recall there being any sound to go with instructions for Zwift workouts and, as I mentioned, I have my sound turned off. But if there are specific sounds that accompany the TR instructions, Iâm guessing your suggestion of turning off the instructions in the TR app is likely the way to go. ![]()
Not sure if it has been mentioned but I was searching through my activities on my career page and filtered for outdoor rides and I noticed that all my zwift rides show as outdoors. I am wondering if itâs possible to have them re-categorized to reflect that they occurred indoors?
The one thing I didnât realize I will miss is extending the cooldown or the warmup. I know I can do free ride on Zwift but the extension doesnât reflect on the TR workout
I have to seem a problem with the Android version of Zwift.
In PC i get the synced workout from TrainerRoad calender, but on my tablet I donât see it in either the âfor youâ or under the âcustom workoutâ folder.
Is there any workaround or fix?
Out of curiosity, is your tablet updated to its most current OS version? And does it have the most recent version of Zwift?
Just checked, everything is up to date.
Even forcing a sync over PC, the workout doesnât show on the tablet.
Personal custom workouts do though.
Update:
Ist seems to sync now when I just minimize the Trainerroad App beforehand, when I close it before opening Zwift, then it doesnât show up. Seems like a weird behavior.
I have a 1st generation kickr and did an endurance ride with TR in Zwift but also kept track of the power outputs with my Garmin Vector3 pedals. Unfortunately, the correlation was not very good. After the warmup, to get the workout power to match up with the pedals, I had to bump the workout intensity by 10%. As the workout progressed, I had to keep reducing the workout intensity to keep the power batched. By the final interval, the match was achieved with a 4% bunp in the workout. I suspect that with newer trainers this would be less of a problem.
That doesnât make senseâŚ.if you bump up the intensity on the trainer, the intensity at the pedals goes up as well.
Seems more like a falsely calibrated Trainer to me.
Also, Pedals donât have a train-drive loss, so it should normally be single digits higher readings.
I replaced the internal spacer on the trainer last week. They seem to last 4000-4500 miles. This made a huge difference in the resistance. I did a kickr spin down two days before the ride. I agree that the pedals wouldnât have exactly the same output but having to bump kickr to 215W to match the workout pedal output of 195W seemed a bit steep. Itâs really not that big a deal for me to have both apps up and power match.
Again, that is not how it works. If you are increasing the resistance on the trainer, the resistance at the pedals also increases.
O usualy launch Z road I wanna use for TR workout and during that ride I launch the WO. When its done I also usually stay for a couple extra minutes. It all goes to TR in an unique activity. But not sure those extra âwarmupâ and âcool downâ minutes are reflected on the AI analyse of the WO. ![]()
Does the KICKR Climb respond to gradient changes in Zwift if doing the TR workout through the Zwift integration?
Thanks for the quick reply
Can anyone explain why I am seeing a different recommended workout in TrainNow on my phone vs the recommended workout in Zwift? Gave up trying to figure out why and just did the one in Zwift but I was all set to do the workout shown on my phone.
If youâre talking about the Train Now workout in the TR app on your phone vs. whatâs in Zwift, I think the issue is that you need to pick which of the three Train Now workouts you want to do, and then add it to your calendar, and then it will be pushed to Zwift. TR only pushes workouts that are on the calendar to Zwift, and the Train Now workouts arenât actually on your calendar until you add them.
Thanks mate that fixed it
I came here for the exact issues last asked above by Nigel and found my answer. Thank you!
I had this same workout suggested on Thursday and glad i read before i used Zwift. I did the workout in TR and did get AI FTP Detection afterwards.
For now it seems any workouts PL >9 if you want AI FTP you should use TR. I wonder if there are any other differences?
But it surely would be nice to get the tilt while working out.
