📣🎉 ZWIFT + TrainerRoad Integration is LIVE! 🎉📣

Used the integration this morning, works very well. A couple of minor questions though. Why are we asked to rate workouts on a 1-10 scale in Zwift, but 1-5 in TrainerRoad? I find this a little confusing, for the record, I’d prefer 1-10 for both as this is how I’ve always rated workouts in other apps such as Intervals.icu and TrainingPeaks, it’s also how my physio asks me to rate pain!

The other question, tomorrow I have an endurance workout scheduled, rather than do it as a workout following the exact targets, is there any detriment to doing it as a group ride, which I find much more engaging? I suppose I would change the planned workout to ‘outside’ and then pair the two and rate the effort. Would this work okay?

Great. No more secret testing
Dont know if this is related but yesterday I did my first TR Z public WO and experienced constant ERG drops. I got on TR afterwords just to test ERG on a different platform and it was not wablling anymore steady ERG as usual.
In all my secret TR Z tests never had this issue.
Ill have another go tonight and hope it was just a moment thing not a general go live on this feature problem.

My avatar’s socks are now red. Blue just didn’t look right.

That is my preference. I free ride for a bit, the click the menu button that appears in the lower left of the screen when you mouse over. From inside this menu you can pick your workout.

First time out with new integration.

Thanks TR! It worked like a charm.
Thanks for getting exact watts instead of rounded once. It would annoy me quite a bit. Always had to look at the companion app for the exact ones.

1 issue is that I feel the TR workout warmups are way too short. Can you extend the warmups instead of me pausing the workout and just free riding the world?

This is what I did on my first workout. Then rode for a bit after the workout. It all ended up in my TR data for the workout.

Heh… actually you can do workouts with a dormant Zwift subscription, as long as you don’t go over the free 25km per month.

It’s a great way to try this out. I did a 30minute workout this morning and really enjoyed it. Great work from TR :grin::+1:t3::+1:t3:

Came here to ask this exact question.

Yes, you can continue to ride after the workout but your extended “cooldown” might be on a 10% grade.

Also, the extended warmup was what I really missed during my first trial post-integration. Otherwise it went great!

Had my first integrated ride this morning and couldn’t be happier! I loaded my workout after joining my club Meetup and it was so nice to have everything on one platform (I had been using the dual app setup). If you aren’t following a program, the AI suggested workout is a great feature. Thank you for making this happen and I love the kit option!

I set up the connection on the TR website but when I open Zwift (on either my phone or ipad) I’m not seeing tomorrows scheduled workout or any TR workout for that matter. What am I missing?

Check to see if the connection is also active on the Zwift side. Also, check the TrainerRoad folder in the Custom Workouts section of Zwift to see if your planned workouts are there. If so, you should be able to select them. If not, you might try breaking the connection between TR and Zwift, and then setting it back up again.

If you have a workout scheduled for today it should appear on the Zwift home screen.

Future workouts will be in a “TrainerRoad” folder in the “Custom” workouts section.

Did McAdie all in Zwift.

My previous setup was my trainer connected to Zwift on Apple TV
TR on my laptop connected to my HRM, PM, and trainer.

Today was Zwift on Apple TV, connected to HRM, PM, and trainer via the Zwift Companion app.

Opinions:

  1. Zwift doesn’t handle resistance changes as well as TR does, IMO. does it make a difference? probably not.
  2. Not having a visual representation of the entire workout and progress through it on the main Zwift screen is annoying.
  3. Not having the workout comparison on the TR calendar stinks.
  4. Was super easy to load the workout and ran it perfectly fine.

Ultimately, I’ll stick to doing it my previous way.

We hope to add this soon :muscle:

Yep that could totally happen, definitely choose your route wisely if you plan to continue to ride on after the workout ends!

So I jumped on at lunch and did a 1hr recommended workout (no plan, just what it recommended for me to do today), completed it, but my progression levels didn’t budge. I did a breakthrough SS ride but it’s showing +0.0.

Something weird is definitely up here. I forwarded this to the team to take a look.
