I had a quick look for a reset method. I didn’t find one, but xcadey do have a ‘replacement’ page on their website. As well as the replacement reference number (that apparently you get from xcadey support via WhatsApp), there are also check boxes for replacement reason.
One of them is ‘fixed blue/green led’ which suggests that your problem is not unknown to them.
Believe or not their warranty is 16 months (why not 18?)… I am just 1 month past the warranty period… classic
Question, are people still generally finding the xcadey ready about 5% low? as per shane millars video review?
Thanks @gpl. My problem was that it matched my kickr core with 5% increase. Now switched to a neo 2t and its reading 5-7% to more than the neo 2t.
Any ideas?
Ok yeah. But general thoughts would be the neo is correct?
I have looked at this too. But imagine it could happen, you have to pay taxes. And shipping.warranty is difficult. So I would spend 100 b bucks more and buy a 4iiii.
After my latest update, before the PM broke, with 103% correction, I had some 10-20min power PR climbing which I doubt was correct. I deleted that workout. Like the GP Llama said, better scale it…
Maybe this will help you not jeopardizing a few hundred bucks and became Xcadey suckers:
I bought and used the Xcadey Powermeter crankset since May 2021, without issues I may say, except from a bit higher readings compared to my other two powermeters (Quarq Riken and Power2Max S-type), I did not compensate it thru the app, It was not such a big deal. At the and of January it stopped working, green led always on, huge readings on cadence and power, it only stayed connected about 1-2 minutes. After I hardly managed to get in touch with Xcadey , a product manager instructed me to fill the online warranty replacement form on their site, they confirmed registration and assured me they will send the replacement spider. After that, they ghosted me an all communication channels we used before, emails, whatsapp, phone calls, they didn’t even read messages anymore, a clear sign of their intentions. I searched a little online and found out that this is the way they are dealing with the replacement situations on warranty. Most likely they don’t replace anything, ever! For me, this is an illegal and scam type business I strongly advise you to avoid them! I am using now the powermeter naked, as they asked me to destroy the electronics. It’s a pretty light crankset now
hello, did I finally get to replace the powermeter Xcadey , I also have a problem and a similar situation the conversation continued until they promised to send a new unfortunately since then they do not speak up anymore
Have anyone encountered having high calibration? Mine shoes -1782 and this causes the power reading to fail. I also cant find a way to reset it. Mines going 2 years now so warranty is not an option.
I’ve had a bad experience recently with an XCadey Xpower-S Gen2 power meter for my mountain bike on a shimano XT M8100 crank. I had previously had an xpower crankset with gen 1 power meter on a tri bike that read dead on when I tested against some garmin vector 3 pedals so I was hoping to get more of the same.
Unfortunately that’s not what I got. Immediately it was reading ~5% higher than my vector 3 pedals and my Kickr V5 trainer. After a couple rides of verifying this I tired scaling it in the app to 95%. This got it reading pretty close most of the time but it seems to be inconsistent. Usually it reads within expected accuracy at lower power and even up to maybe ~200w but once tested at >300w it will easily read >3% too high. It also doesn’t seem to be really consistent from one test to the next.
I’m going to see if I can return it somehow. Unfortunately it seems like xcadey can be crossed off the trust worthy power meter list. I really don’t think it’s acceptable even to have to “scale” a power meter yourself. It should read accurate out of the box within spec and it definitely needs to be consistent. Maybe I’ll try Sigeyi?
Did you ever end up finding a way to fix this? I am having the same issue.
