I will work on a poll and discussion thread for helping plan timing as we get closer. It’s still early and people will be working on their schedules, but we have roughly 2 months to go yet, so we have plenty of time to nail those details.

I might have given this a go - against what might be better judgment.
I’m running a half marathon on the 15th, and a 5k on the 14th.
So, now way.
Maybe I’ll give it a go later in the month?

You can take it on anytime that suits you. The more the merrier. We will do our best to give you some support whenever you can fit it in.

We just have to set a day and week for the majority to use and hope it is open enough to fit many schedules. But we know it won’t work for everyone. Taking on any version any time of the year is a worthwhile challenge, IMHO.

I was going to say a flat no. But I did a 4h outdoors ride back in late spring with an 0.79IF. So it’s possible I could survive it. Bugger!

I’m up for anything stupid. As I get closer I’ll decide between -1 and -2. I’m scheduled for Geiger+2 that day, last day of week one Sweet Spot Base 2 mid volume. -2 fits in OK and -1 would be an over effort but I probably won’t die.

When our spouses/SOs ask us we are doing with them this weekend, we have no idea. But ask any one of us what we are doing 2 months from now on a specific day and we know exactly what cycling workout we are doing. :joy:

Family commitments on that day mean that I will have to take part on the Thursday before (12th). I will do disaster -2 as only 4 weeks into my first TR plan so don’t want to overstretch at the moment. I will do it in the evening UK time.

Sounds great! -2 is a nice balance of challenge but nothing overwhelming!

Looking forward to this (I think). Completing Disaster last year was a good mid-winter training morale boost.

I may (again) do it the week after “Disaster week”. Simply because the Saturday is usually a decent club ride (weather permitting) and it is a big effort just before Christmas week.

Currently replacing Fletcher at the end of Sweet Spot 1 MV. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing in terms of overall training goals, but a taper into it…

The sprints from sweet spot were the killer portion for me last year.

I am on holiday on the 14th, and wont be able to fit a 4:15 ride in after work midweek…

But I have put it in the diary for the Sunday the 8th, so think of me as the lead out man

Like the sound of this, however with some back issues at mo i may need a disaster-10… !! :slight_smile:
Assume i can take breaks and pause as usual on a TR workout… then i can do it in 1hr junks with breaks to stretch out…

Is there anything obvious (but not to me) that I should do here in the middle of Sweet Spot Base volume 2 that won’t affect the plan to much but won’t burn me out?

Whatever is happening that workout on the 14th December is staying there.
