I know fans have come up quite a lot and mechanisms to link them with smart plugs and I happened to find an old broken Sonoff Basic (Not the newest version) in the basement which was replaced, so I thought I’d upload some photos of the PCB as they’re only £4 ($5)
This one turns on and the switch works. It just can’t connect to wifi.
The relay switch is rated at 10 A and the wires carrying the current are hefty.
Incidentally, don’t try voice control. I did. It works well before the fans are on but to turn them off you have to shout.
