Why Schwalbe why

Schwalbe WTF with the stupid tan sidewalls.

I finally settled on a setup that seems like a good mix of speed and protection: 2.1 Thunder Burt up front and 50 mm G-one RS Pro in the back. While the G-ones are not known for great protection, BTRR mentions that the 50 mm versions are significantly more robust than the 40s or 45s and PP is higher than the TBs. I have only ever flatted on the rear so seems like that is the place for more protection.

However, currently the 2.1 TBs are only available in black and the 50 mm RS Pros are only available in transparent sidewall. So I am stuck with a black and tan setup, which should only be used for making beer  .

Just here to vent frustration.

To add to it, I have both in tan sidewall and they are distictly different tans. While not as bad as black/tan, is still silly for 2 current generation tires that should match!

I agree that would be slightly better than black/tan, but that makes me feel better about not trying to spend more time hunting down tan TBs.

Personally, I love the tan sidewalls. Maybe it’s because my bike is already kind of ‘dark’ so they brighten it up a bit.

Color is not only for fixies any longer. Be prepared.
