Tougher tire to replace Thunderburt on gravel bike -recommendations?

Currently running a race king up front with Thunderburt in the back due to sizing limitations. The thunderburt has proven to be too fragile for me, and tire toughness has been difficult to understand using resources like BRR. What I’m looking for is something that:

  • rolls as well as the RK
  • toughness of the old Pathfinder Pro
  • no wider than, but as close as possible to, the Thunderburt 2.1 (50mm mounted)

Any goldilocks recommendations?

I’ve been testing the Schwalbe g-one RS pro 50’s and pretty happy with them. They test fast and pass the “feels fast” test. I don’t have enough chunky miles on them to personally speak to durability, but I know it’s a popular tire at Unbound. I raced on them last week and my only negative is cornering traction. And I don’t think they are bad, I just don’t have the confidence on them like I do running race kings. Probably a bit better than pathfinders on cornering. Also, I’m not sure what wheels you are running, but the RS 50’s measure out to ~53mm on my Xplr wheels (32 internal) at ~24psi. Should be right around 50mm on 25 internal rims.
