What workout did you do today? (2020, part 2)

Almost got took out by a Red light jumping cyclist before I started the session. You know the type, the type with 4 wheels on the tarmac, a steering wheel, possibly a spare wheel in the back and definitely a spare wheel in the driver’s seat. As everyone knows only cyclists jump red lights

Anyway I had Pettit in the diary but finally the wind dropped so I took it outside and TR changed it into Barronette :+1:

It’s kinda a zone 2 ride, until I got back to town when I slightly went out of zone in traffic :joy:

Did Collins - had a bit of a shock as I thought it was only an hour long then got confused when 15mins came up as the length of the first interval!

Avalanche Spire today. Upped the intensity last three sets with 5% so that @nvalphen would make it  . Group workouts are great for powering through the workout. Time flies by and it’s a great motivation to know Ur not the only one suffering.

I liked the look of this workout and its name when an athlete on this thread posted they had completed it. Tempo rocks!!! Hard but not too hard. Perfect for supplementing plan rides.

Glad you are safe!

felt rubbish in the last week of build, I failed three workouts in a row! Took it easy for 5 days, only doing zone 2 and slept a ton.

I was unsure how I would test today. 4w bump to 304w and now at 4.47w/kg so pretty stoked!

Recovery ride with Zwift Riders Germany Gruppenfahrt (D)

Around 200 riders, pace around 2.2w/kg, perfect for leg recovery…

haha, thanks again  :muscle:

Really needed a mental boost to get through, after my holiday, I made the mistake to continue the plan, without following the progression (and surely some drop in FTP…). So the first few workouts where physically and mentally very though, after shifting some (SSBLV2) workouts around it’s looking better again. But finishing this one @100% really boosted my confidence again  (thanks to the group workout!)

Nice one, take it easy for the rest of the evening now!

Whats happen with the IF & NP figures? Software bug?

thanks, starting a half week recovery now  then into a quick build for the first a event this year

no idea what happened to the NP and IF… but it’s definitely not correct  on web it looks better:

and the mobile app also gives 261 NP

First workout in exactly a month after a respiratory infection that had me feeling very conservative given the pandemic. Opted for 1hr light tempo and the struggle sure was real. Huge HR. Maybe the net result of hoping W/kg would be the same after a month off was just a litttttle optimistic. (I manually adjusted my FTP down by 15. I’ve also lost 3-4kg in that time due to illness and fasting.)

Monitor +1:

I shoulda skipped the cadence drills. Or done them backwards. I got about three hours of sleep last night and was absolutely dead by the end of this. Got to wear polka dots for the Epic KOM though, that was fun! There were even other people on the board this time!

Kudos on the Epic KOM  :muscle:… I remember when Zwift wasn’t that popular and very quiet in the summer season and I also used to wear the odd KOM jersey… Global pandemic put an end to that, make sure you get that screenshot

Palisade. Had to repeat the Standing Drills of Interval 4, to get through Interval 5. Poor nights sleep last night, added to by an earlier alarm (if not start time) to adjust to the routine that will be required when the children go back to school!

that one is hard… I remember sore legs for 2 days after that one.

Colder day today so temperature inside went down. It is strange to see HR in normal zones and not dripping sweat. 5x15@97%. Only significant change was saddle height (up) and my legs were extremely happy about this decision. Other conclusion is that is time for VO2 max block.

The Priest +3 today, final point in a progression taking me to 30sec at 150% to start then settle into 95% for 10min. Wrapping up short power build HV this weekend, coasting to the finish, @chad you haven’t broken me yet, honey!

Taku. I wanted to do a ramp test today but man I did not feel it. Maybe those 2000 meters of climbing 2 days ago caught up to me  luckily nobody joined my group workout anyway lol. Will try the ramp test this weekend instead and then I will start sweet spot mid volume

OH MY CRIT! - The Double Race 2/2 (B)

Really enjoyed the race around the Champs-Élysées, didn’t get dropped but had nothing left for a sprint.
x91 all time PRs from 23 to 34 minutes :+1:

I, Vigo, the scourge of Carpathia, the sorrow of Moldavia, command you!
Coach Chad had to be thinking that when he named it?!
