The bane of my existence, Over/Unders.

I really hate those with a passion. THey’re the workouts that make me question why I do this in the first place

This, in time, will pass, I’m sure.
Glad it’s over nevertheless

New FTP, new plan (via the TR Planner) and a date in the calendar for my A Event. Something to aim for, lets get at it! :+1:

Townsend for my easy day:

Picked up some Zwift XP and listened to Jonathan Vaughters and Dave Brailsford talk about the future of the pro men’s racing calendar.

Fang Mountain +1 , tough one especially when both your kids wake you up in the middle of the night a few days in a row . Going to bed early tonight to recover properly , i hope they don’t wake up this time

The classic Z2 ride. And full TR fanboy mode completed with a Pod - I’m up to June 2018…

Got “disturbed” 20 minutes in when a beer delivery arrived. Some delicious 8.8% DIPAs and a naughty 10.2% imperial IPA! Sorry OT!

Baird -1 from yesterday evening. Was a bit easy considering I’d strength training at lunchtime. Legs a little tired, but no bother cracking out the intervals. I’ve been putting off bumping up my FTP, was trying to fit a ramp into the plan. I think I’m just going to push it up a few watts instead.

Fartlek run today, all good.

Having an easy week because er….I want one  Colosseum Monday, Andrews yesterday, 41miles of zone 2 in the sun this evening after work (well no kids to teach but doing all the things I have been asked to do). More zone 2 tomorrow and long zone 2 Friday (so I can forget it supposed to be a bank holiday in the UK to commemorate Brexit :rage: - oh how a bit of multilateral cooperation might help us now - but no apparently it’s better to do everything on your own!!) Same Saturday in the Sun…and then winter appears to be back for some reason Sunday and it might snow? WTF?

Townsend for some endurance.

Mt Goode + 3. What a difference a couple of days makes. The 90 min threshold workout usually falls on Fri, and I’ll be driving all day. No backpedals, and cadence stayed up.

Mmm I think you still have a ways to go to get Tron bike. Unless you had the wrong screen shot. When I got it it was below.

8,850 meters of climbing gets you up Everest and Emonda bike. Another 41,150 meters gets you the coveted “Concept Z1” (aka “the Tron bike”)

Nah, I got the Concept Z1 notification, but it caught me by surprise (I thought I had another 100m to go) so I didn’t get the screen capture, then that “challenge completion” one flashed again, same one I got at 8850. Been working on that one for four months!

Workout in the books for today. Might hit the treadmill later for an easy run since it is very windy outside right now.

Carpathian Peak. I was dreading this workout since I just did a Ramp Test on Monday and my FTP had a big bump from 260 to 283. I thought Car Peak was going to kill me. It was hard, but not so bad. Not as bad as Mary Austin -1 or Leconte, even at my previously-lower FTP.

Was that Carpathian Peak? I did that workout today. I hear ya on the over/unders. Give me VO2max intervals any day instead.

“Rest” week.

Was supposed to do some Z2 + some maintenance “power/fast” work…my aggravation at garbagey electronics cut both sessions short. My brand new Tickr works like a charm.

Any suggestions on a power meter/HRM/head unit/training app combo which actually operate in unison? :man_shrugging:
