What workout did you do today? (2020, part 1)

Wright peak -1

I had to go deep for this one :point_up:t2:
First 30min interval tapping away Saturday group ride
2nd grinning but actually grinding my teeth digging down…
3rd WTF who said you can’t turn a piece of SH1+into a diamond

I know that feeling. Leconte is by far one of the hardest workouts in the catalogue

Mount Field last night.

Jepson

Feeling absolutely fried. Combination of poor sleep and stress. I pushed through the workout and I was able to break it down into manageable chunks. Still hurt though.

Leconte (I actually call it something else…) is the only TR workout I’ve had to back pedal through. Definitely a challenge.

The First Day of the Rest of My Life* saw me do Stromlo +6 (8min @ 102%). The Z2 after the intervals felt like hour 4 of of a straight Z2 ride. I feel an FTP bump coming this weekend.

*(seems rumours of my impending demise were exaggerated!)

Two hours on the road today. 1200 calories, some watts. Felt great.

Rain all weekend so back into the cave.

Leconte. Two short backpedals in the last 10 min. Last hard workout in SSB 2. I’m going to extend it one week. I’m due to work in a hospital in California Easter week, and I’d prefer that be recovery week instead of next week.

Andrews.

Does everyone else hate endurance work as much as I do? I can never seem to get comfortable. I’d rather bury myself than do endurance work most days.

I actually enjoy it for some reason. So much I just started Traditional base MV1.

My road bike just isn’t comfortable when I’m not pushing hard. Too much pressure on the saddle and my hands on the easier stuff.

Aw man, I smoked this. Except for the apparent cardiac events in the first three intervals, nailed Palisade as I return to hi-mod SSB1MV.

Rest day. Nailed it :joy::joy::joy:

Had 6x10 on the cards but decide to do next weeks progression of this and do 5x12min just below FTP. After putting FTP up to 370 I thought this might feel hard but it was all very manageable. Good times were had.

Not if you drop the last two letters, trust me.

Wright Peak -1… Heart rate was low-ish so I knew the workout would be done, but man was it mentally taxing. Last 20 minutes was a slug fest.

But then again, 5 weeks of SSBMV2 is finally done. Time for some well deserved beers and a week of easy regeneration :sunglasses::muscle:

The last Saturday of General Build, and despite feeling somewhat ground down, I fancied trying Galena +2 instead of +1. That was tough, especially the last 20 mins @ 99%, which is frankly just cruel!

Spanish needle -3.
My legs really hate these types of workouts. Didn’t realize until the end that I left my windows open so I hope my yelling/screaming/bargaining didn’t offend anybody walking by this morning. Guess I gotta do it to get better
