What workout did you do today? (2018/2019)

Made myself a little gift. Welcome Wahoo Tickr, may the force be with you. Really looking forward to see long and midterm changes of my heart rate.

Not really. I think the resistance was just set too low–20%–cause I was topping out on my gears, which was throwing me off. I’ll keep experimenting.

That’s a really smooth graph. Almost like ERG mode.

Was concerned with the larger jump in HR for the last block but my buddy said its no concern. I have a weird obsession with keeping my HR low for endurance workouts and trying to avoid Z3 HR, but I guess I should just focus on form instead. Overall HR is still lower for this ride than the other 3 times I did it

Ramp test & taku. 266W, down from 295W at the end of last winter - I expected as much (or even more) of a drop though. Crucially I’m starting my winter training over 2 months earlier this year (Dec 20th wasn’t ideal last year!) so hopefully it’ll go well.

Today I did Aniakchak, the last interval was quite uncomfortable.
I skipped the cool down because I wanted to do some easy endurance in the end, however I got off the bike to refill my bottle and the motivation wasn’t there anymore.

Friday two for one - Hawk Mountain and Warren were on the calendar for TB2, but this weekend we are going up to Reno to deliver goodies to daughter. Still have a long ways to go with rebuilding the engine, but that felt good. Nothing like a long solo ride to rejuvenate body and soul. Bonus: came home and it is new kettlebell day :muscle: :+1:

I keep surprising myself - I got through Wrights Peak 2 3 x 30min SST @300w avg

This workout was pretty though for me. Went into it after 7 hours of sleep and and an empty stomach.
The cadence average is wrong. The virtual cadence of my Wahoo Kickr doesn’t work during low power intervals since the last two workouts…

Hurd -2 - somehow those few weeks concentrating on VO2Max and stretching those intervals are finally paying off. First time I manage intervals beyond 2 minutes without blowing up. Wouldn’t call it easy, but no major drama either.

Legs felt absolutely excellent so I upped the intensity to 106% and threw in some sprints because why not.

Juneau +1 today, it was my last workout before a two weeks interruption due to a study trip so I wanted to do a lot of TSS, yet avoiding high intensity.
It felt surprisingly doable, despite the fact that yesterday I did Aniakchak and Spruce Knob the day before.
Therefore, I did the last interval at 90% (instead of 88 ) and then I added 45 minutes at 65/70%.

Baxter +2 replacing scheduled Baxter SSB1 lv wk1.

really had to dig into today to make this one happen, felt amazing though…two weeks then on that taper taper liiiiife

1h @ 93% FTP
Ride 75% FTP until hitting 3,000kj
2 x 20m @ 97-105%, could only hit 94% and 92%, was a big ask but gotta try to tease it out
Ride from 4,500 to 5,000kj with whatever was left, IT WASN’T MUCH LOL

Now that’s a solid workout!!

Did this fairly early today, fully fasted. I’m used to 90-120 minutes fasted, this was a new max for fasted kj

Reasonably pleased with my base at this point, two week off season break coming up starting middle of next week shouldn’t impact too much

thanks Dave!

So just moved over from Sufferfest, many recommendations for TR! Hoping TR will step my cycling up a good bit, what’s everyone’s thoughts between the 2?
2nd week of SS1 mid vol, Today I did this! Struggling with the man-flu which we all know is deadly! This was a tough shift nearly cracked and stopped a few times as not feeling 100%! But smashed on through.

Beast mode activated! :facepunch:

Did Mary Austin -1 in SSB2. That is one tough beast. Finished it pretty clean except few extra seconds in the rest interval to stretch and grab a drink.

Absolute stunner of a spring day here and it would have been criminal to waste it doing McAdie+1. Dusted of the XC bike and went out on a bit of a gravel grind to tackle one of the favourite gravel road climbs around here. All I can say is I thought my heart was going to pop out of my chest and THANK YOU TrainerRoad  I think I would have had a shot at my pr on that first segment but there was a ton of trees across the trail after a recent storm.
