Anyone who gets to (and even more past) 2h on a trainer deserves my full respect.
Pisgah today. Legs very tired from build, hope to feel better by the time the weekend rolls around for my first XC race (C priority) of the season.
@Wayne snap!
Entering a sort of Taper Week before starting XCO Speciality. Very tired and achy legs after Sustained Build. Somehow managed to do some 125% VO2max which is very unlike me! Interval 5 turned down to 115% but took a brave pill for the last one and went back up to 125% Glad I did!
Thatâs a lot of spikes ![]()
Was chuffed I completed this without bailing or reducing. More mental as not really done much last couple of weeks. Had a celebratory beer or two
Nice work!
First interval was very heavy legs for me, kind of got better as the workout went on but after I feel better having done it for sure.
Much appreciated. ![]()
Some days youâre the windshield. Some days your the bug.
Write it off as an off day. Make sure you fuel better the next time. ![]()
First ride post surgery. Was going stir crazy resting around the house, all the while the bike was tempting me every day. Took it very easy, 50/50 on the tops and no-hands. Didnât feel any aggravation in hernia areas which is a good sign. Strange to see my heart rate so high on such an easy ride but hopefully itâll be an another week or two before my fitness comes back. Iâll stick to endurance rides for now, might hit a tempo one late next week

Just finished Eclipse. Did the first interval low cadence, 2nd I did at whatever what comfortable, and 3rd I was going to do low cadence also, and got 5 minutes in and RPE was getting much higher than I expected. I did the remainder at my natural cadence, and RPE never really recovered. That one stayed hard the whole way through.
I beat you on this one on Friday March 29th lasted 3 hours before I bailed on, I attribute to a poor bike fit on my area bars - upper body taking too much strain I guess. I slept on the couch for almost 2 hours afterwards. So in some part it was effective. road outside the next day to make up the 1 hr 45 min. Going again this Friday with a 2 hr 45 similar spin again.
Black Kaweah +3
Those longer intervals are killers, despite lower power. Wanted to call it quits after an hour, but somehow managed to finish.
Mid plan ramp test day, with a drop in weight this week and more power I have cracked the 3 watt/kg, just⌠now 3.03 watts per kg!!
You know what? I was amazed by the fact that my trainer kept up flawlessly.
Mills this morning. Comparing to the last time I did it two months ago, Iâve increased avg power by 11%, dropped avg HR by 6bpm, and increased avg cadence 81 to 87. Love seeing this progress!
Easy run but managed to set another PB for the route, this is becoming a pleasing habit ![]()
Easy breathing, low HR, taking in a few hills.
Where do i startâŚthe red lake was definitely red by the end of this one, everything went âwrongâ
I felt i was slipping on the trainer, the trainer was rocking a bit so i shimmied it, not once but twice.
Then i got some cramps
Then my congestion in the sinus got decongested. Then i was just suffering but i just WOULDNâT QUIT! So last interval i finally gave up and loosened up the intensity by 5%. I ârepairedâ my tacx vortex but it doesnât feel the same anymoreâŚi guess i have to work on it a bit more to get it right.

Swam yesterday, for the first time i started doing 100m intervals and it felt good. But the pool was ridiculously busy (4-5 per lane)
So for the warmup and the initial intervals, i was in the faster lanes but had to go back to the slower ones for the drills.
i did my first ramp test and the first workout of ssb lv 1 today. that is mount field.
