What to eat to suffice hunger/cravings

I probably under fuel on the bike which can lead to binging the day after but a lot of it with me is boredom as I don’t binge when I am busy. I also don’t feel hungry and binge if its not there. The only time I feel hungry is when its there (food) and I am bored.

I would brush, clean interdental and use mouthwash before and really try to limit my carb intake during training especially early in the season (base build)

Ahh, so before rides with lots of carbs, do mouthwash? What’s the thinking behind this?

Is the brushing, interdental cleaning also before?

I always thought that it was “best” to skip brushing in the morning, and then brush once I got back from a long ride with lots of carbs?

If you are going to feed the bacteria make sure there are as little as possible in your mouth that way they can do the least amount of damage. Also your teeth can recover from the damage (remineralise) but they need time, so it’s important to not continuously put your teeth under stress by eating/snacking frequently especially of the bike

Ahh alright, so the thinking is to clean out the bacteria by brushing, then “feed the bacteria” (eat carbs) afterwards if we need to eat on the bike etc?

Yeah thats what my mom (who’s also in dentistry) has said. Frequency of exposure apparently has big impact, especially for kids.

Drink water/green tea/black cofee. Get some work. If does not work try sauerkraut;)

For me black tea or coffee is worse as it stay’s hotter longer and I am liable to have another biscuit :roll_eyes:
