Syntha 6 edge from BSN!!
The chocolate and banana strawberry are good.
I’ve tried a few.
- Vega (plant based)
- SIS Rego (this one I really like but is costly to ship to Canada)
- Hammer Nutrition (I’ve heard it doesn’t agree with everyone’s stomach but I’ve an iron stomach)
I normally find the SIS Rego the easiest pre-workout to digest. But I generally try to eat a protein based snack the night before if I have an early morning session lined up.
SIS (the US site, not sure about UK) have 30% off Rego protein, and 25% off the Overnight. I grabbed the overnight.
Then, I checked out MyProtein ISOPRO, and it’s 40% off. So $23 for 2.2 lbs ISOPRO vs $47 for 2.2 lbs Overnight. I’ll be switching to ISOPRO next.
According to me Raw Nutritional - Vegan Pro is good source of plant based protein. It is a best tasting vegan protein that is made of products like organic pea protein and organic flax seeds. The taste is also quite amazing, much better than most whey powders I have tried.
nice sharing!!
I go with ISOPure zero/low carb. Dutch Chocolate is good for basic protein shakes after weight lifting, and I use the Creamy Vanilla for recovery shakes with blueberries and bananas.
ESN Designer Whey, Double Chocolate
Overall I am pretty happy with this product. Still, I want to try out vegan alternatives but I haven’t gotten any recommendations so far that sell here in Germany to an appropriate price.
not to thread steal but since theres been so many comments so far.
has anyone experienced any bloating and been “blocked up” from using too much whey?
i had been using a store brand whey mix and the only reason was because it didn’t have added sugar it was flavored with vanilla bean.
I recently dumped all dairy, I feel much better I have no before or after tests to back anything up but i feel great, if you’re feeling like somethings not right I would start to eliminate certain foods, whey is probably a good place to start. I use Prana https://pranaon.com/
Syntha 6 Strawberry and Dymatize iso100 Cookies and cream are my favorites!
Yeah I can get messed up digestion with whey protein powder, sadly it took me about 3 years to figure it out. No problems at all if use vegan stuff like pea protein. Milk and yoghurt don’t seem to cause me any trouble, just whey protein.
My favourite protein powder is MuscleBlaze Biozyme Whey Isolate Protein Powder as it comes with 50% higher protein absorption rate and 60% higher BCAA absorption.
Last order I just went for a bigger bag of vanilla impact whey from myprotein. I can adjust the flavour somewhat with flavour drops - strawberry flavour drops with vanilla protein not a whole lot different from the strawberry cream flavour whey. Bigger bag, better value…
I’ve tried a few different ones, MusclePharm, Muscle Milk, Kaizen, ON, etc
Dymatize 100% whey is the one i LOVE. Chocolate fudge flavour.
If i order it from bodybuilding.com i wait for a sale (when you’re signed up with their newsletter they send you about 1 sale every week or so)

They used to have a blend (Elite Fusion 7) that had different types of it in it (so some caseine, some whey, some iso) but they stopped making it.
Mixes well, tastes great…i usually mix it with whether chocolate almond milk or vanila oat milk. The former gives it a nice texture, close to a smoothie but without being too thick.
I have wanted to, but have been hesitant to use protein powder for the longest time because of all the added junk in most powders.
I recently came across a protein powder called drink wholesome, however, which is made from real foods and has no additives whatsoever.
It tastes really good, and I encourage you to check them out!
Bob’s Red Mill Whey Protein powder is also good in this regard (no additives) if you can handle whey. It’s also unflavored (and doesn’t contain sugar or other sweeteners) so can be mixed with almost anything. It’s also considerably cheaper if you look at servings per container (roughly $16 per 17 servings vs $40 per 20 servings).
One of my faves… https://www.amazon.com/PBfit-All-Natural-Powdered-Roasted-Pressed/dp/B01KKEECLS
Found locally at Costco, easy to make with other recipes and great tasting.
It’s not Canada friendly
Form Nutrition. Has all the vits etc I need too (B12 specifically). Upside is the packaging doesn’t remind me of gym rats and bodybuilders.
