What is Your Favorite Protein Powder?

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Vanilla Icecream…
coming on 5-10 years now, and still am no where near sick of the flavour… Brilliant!

I use three protein powder they have at Aldis because it’s convenient and cheap. Reading the label, seems pretty decent with pretty low sugar content. I mix it with water or Almond milk. Chocolate and vanilla both taste pretty good. I don’t use it daily so not too worried about getting the perfect type of powder. It’s probably crap, but the nutrition label info seems not too bad…

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey - I’ve been using it daily for the better part of a decade, this was even before my cycling days, when I was a powerlifter.

Just going to leave this here…

I also prefer using this one https://www.amazon.com/Vega-Premium-Protein-Vanilla-Packaging/dp/B016D9IGRA/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=vegan+protein+powder&qid=1583408089&sr=8-4 as it is used by me since long and it is effective and cruelty-free. I really liked it.

I get mine from Bulk Barn so I have no idea what the brand is. :joy: It’s just a generic plant-based vanilla one though. I’m a little wary of whey as I have limited funds and most of the cheap whey protein brands have something in there that absolutely wrecks me.

I’ve been using ON Gainer proteins (Serious Mass and Pro Gainer); I will often mix 1/2 scoop of ProGainer with 1/2-to-1 scoop of Serious Mass 1x per week. The maltodextrin in Serious Mass noticeably can help with energy replenishment. I’ve recently gotten out for some Friday rides and it helps me get through harder intervals on my Saturday workouts.

More often I will mix 1/2 scoop of the Pro Gainer with a serving of cold-brew coffee (Califia is the easiest) to be consumed right after my workout in the morning.

Both mix pretty well in a blender bottle, but the Serious Mass definitely gets clumpy.

MyProtein Pea Isolate… but I tend to try and get it from foods only, and top up when necessary.

This one tastes good and has a nice profile.

I also like the Hammer Nutrition products.

As a vegan option, I quite like the nu3 ones (their own brand), especially the chocolate. Solubility is great, the protein blend is good and taste is also decent IMO.

Pea protein powder from the bulk section. Whey is literally by-product (trash)
