a.k.a. Shorts!
I assume “knicks” must be some sort of septic-speak, which being still mired in the Victorian era probably derives from knickerbockers.

For me: 5-6 hours per week, FTP 300. 10-12 hours per week FTP 350W. Absolutely worth the squeeze.
Are you saying you don’t drink coffee because it is a performance enhancing drug?
They do in the UK
They arent wrong in a way, wider is better is not true, maybe you posted with your belief
40mm is better than 28 - 30mm?
That one won’t come out until 2025
Yeah, need to sell more wheelsets and tyres, what you already have is totally wrong.
And here I am with memories of ridiculous noise from carbon wheeled rim brake bikes with cork brake pads… that also used a structural surface as a wear component
@mcneese.chad LOL holy jebus, that’s a terrifying thought!!!
“CAUTION: USE ONLY FOR A MAXIMUM OF 5000KM. OR 1500KM, IF MOST USE IS IN HILLY AREAS. OR 500KM, IF LOTS OF AGGRESSIVE BRAKING OCCURS, SUCH AS IN RACE CONDITIONS WITH LOTS OF DESCENTS. ACTUALLY, WE DON’T STAND BEHIND THESE MUCH PAST 25KM, TO BE HONEST, MOST OF THE BOARD MEMBERS WON’T RIDE THESE THINGS.” - The Owner’s Manual
LOL
EDIT: Ya, no. Aircraft grade ultralight Al rims + rubber / compound pads. Yikes!!!
Yeah, and that is all without mentioning the amazing braking performance when said rims had a decent layer of water on them… and they became more like mild speed reducers than actual brakes
Unpopular, I have no disk brakes bikes and that will still be the case in 2028
@Bbt67 you and me both, buddy! [Not joking.]
Let’s get some T-shirts made!!!
Haha, no, I only drink it if I feel I need a performance enhancement.
Ah, this is gold! Thanks folks!
Yes, I meant shorts without straps. Is what they were called where & when I got into racing… they were never called shorts. Must be a local thing.
What is “a loud, annoying, service-hogging bike”?
Anything with discs!
(I love disc brakes, just answering the question)
I guess I’m most confused about “service-hogging”. What service? How are they hogging it?
Likely pointing towards bleeding brakes since that is something I’d guess most people leave to mechanics, where they may have handled pure cable rim brakes at home. Even though that is a likely case, the reality is that I rarely need to have any of my disc brake bikes in the shop for bleeds more than once per year. Most are less than that with SRAM stuff needing more attention than Shimano IME.
I’ve had my current bike 4 years without bleeding the brakes haha
