Ah Okay, it is much easier to concentrate on one thing at a time. Split focus make things much harder no doubt about that.
Big training week in the bag for me, rest day tomorrow and hopefully health eating to fuel the day after… Tuesday.
And another good week. This time a recovery week - I managed to go through it not eating much too much and got a small deficit overall. And another 0,16kg lost. Not great, not terrible
Now is time to begin spec phase with much less excess body fat so loosing weight becomes really tricky
We’ll see…
Weekend away with the family. Not much of a healthy choice of food at the hotel.
Still, only .2kg up from friday, and down .4 week on week.
Recovery week so i have to watch myself like a hawk
Wahooo! Down another .6kg from last week. Total of 11lbs in 6 weeks or so, I’m stoked! I feel so much better. I move better, don’t feel weighed down & I continue to get faster on the bike. I’ve got about 3kg to go & I’ll be at my goal.
I’ve been tracking my calories for two weeks now and it’s made a big difference - lost 1.8 kg since then, which is faster than I planned. More importantly I successfully completed every workout in LV Short Power Build weeks 6 and 7, plus ~6 hours outdoor rides both weeks and felt like I had plenty of energy! This week is recovery week so expecting my weight to plateau a bit since TDEE will be lower.
I’ve also been asked to take part in a short film at the start of August, on my bike. The new kit I ordered for it is in a size small so hopefully that will help keep my motivation up for the rest of this month!
Clocking in my weight today at my current average of 83.6. A bit heavier this morning at 84 kg but I think it is better to go with my weekly average as today is the heaviest I’ve weighed over the whole week. This is likely due to me retaining water after a higher carb day along with water intake from my 3 hour trainer ride yesterday.
As this is the 9th week of me dieting (1 week more than this log currently), Weight loss is slowing in general. In terms of diet consistency, this week is one where I met an overall deficit of -1000 calories + for the first time the entire diet. I would assume now that my body is starting to fight back and hold on to as much as possible. Losing 6+ kg of this time is pretty good and the best I’ve ever done dieting so far.
Potentially a possible diet break in about 3-4 weeks in light of this slow down. May need about 2 weeks where I eat at a little under maintenance calories to re-set hormones and consolidate my gains before another round of dieting. We will see how this week turns out.
Good luck to you all
Back in the green this week.
If all stays according to this trend I should be < 90kg in 3-4 weeks. An arbitrary milestone but an exciting one.
In the green, so I am really happy with my progress. The weather here is supposed to get brutally hot and humid with Thunderstorms over weekend, so maintaining progress will require a course adjustment.
The bad habit I have done away with most consistently is eating at night. Most of the time when I ask myself “are you hungry or tired”, I realize I am just tired and need to go to bed. I am sleeping better too, probably because my system isn’t working on breaking down food.
0.8 kg off for me on a nearly 10,000 kJ training week 18.65 hours. Strangely a smaller loss than the previous weeks recovery week. Weekly aim is about 0.6kg - 0.7kg.
Monday isnt a good day to weigh as weekend training affects the weigh (normally a bit higher as refuelling after a fair amount of training the weekend has an impact.) I look at 7 days rolling ave normally for this reason.
Yeah, it doesn’t matter what day. As long as you are tracking in the right direction overall. I wonder if your recovery week result is because recovery weeks put you in a power zone of fat burn.
Slowly coming off. Would come off quicker with a little more discipline, but I know that and am slowly making changes.
At the end of the day, isn’t that what really matters?
I had a decent weigh in, down from last week, but had a killer weigh in on Saturday that I wish would have held. My average is still going down, just lots of variation day to day.
Ideally we would all be targeting fat loss. Weight isn’t as much of a problem as having high levels of body fat. However, we don’t have DEXA scans in the home so we target weight at the moment.
Also, it is just a number. Even if the week didn’t go as you want, you learn more about yourself. Think of all of this is you learning how to better take care of yourself. Gaining a perspective on what you are doing daily in order to keep healthy and stay active might be the best thing out of all of this.
I use an OMRON scale. It has bluetooth so it avoids issues of dealing with WiFi that plagues other smart scales.
Again, these are highly variable and not really accurate. Key thing is to focus on trends; do you see bodyfat % reported trending down? Until you can get a more scientific / accurate test (i.e. bodpod, hydrostatic, etc) this is kinda the best option.
181.3lbs=82.2 back to about where I was 2 weeks ago. I think this week is going to be a decent weight loss as I am back to training after not having the bike for about a week.
• Eat clean single ingredient whole foods
• Fish & Poultry, I limit red meat/beef
• Veggies, fruits, veggies as main bulk
• Beans, grains
Good luck to all. Keep up the healthy lifestyle changes everyone
Me too but mine is years old and no Bluetooth.
OK fellow accountability buddies, here is the data as of this morning:
109kg lost as of this week (not counting the weight found again! ). The equivalent of:
- 20 gallons of paint
- 16 Bowling Balls
- 34,880 Tea Bags (Boston Harbor, here we come)
- 1/19 of a Rhinoceros
- 1/4 of a horse (not a Quarter Horse)
- 5450 hours of cinema reel
Yeah, thats why I went with OMRON recentluy. Had an older one for years. A tank that was always accurate.
Bluetooth one is nice.
Ah I need to update for this week! Will weight when I get home from work. Staying away from
Home sun/mon and completely forgot. After slightly falling off the wagon (no good excuses but a couple of somewhat stressful weeks) I’m back at it
Another (fairly) good week, another “green” week, still on everyday calorie deficit, but actual weight loss slowed down, too much! I wanted to be light for summer Strava uphills and a few races that left (due to Covid19), not in December
I have tried one steep mountain on Saturday - fortunately power is there, first time I hit solo 1400 VAM on anything longer that 5 minutes.
Just keep loosing fat, remember to not overeat that much next winter season and maybe I will hit 1500 some day
