Washington state 2026 XC MTB races?

Hi, I am looking for XC and XCM races in Washington. Anyone have a link or link(s) you could share?

Thanks

What part of Washington? I’m no help if you’re closer to Seattle, if you’re south of that most stuff is listed on the OBRA calendar.

They have not posted their 2026 schedule yet, but keep an eye out on the Dirt Abides series which runs from March through June:

Anywhere in Washington. I am willing to travel. I live in Oregon. Great racing scene March - May. ~ 10 races. More if you count a weekly short track series. From June on till the end of summer, the XC MTB calendar in Oregon is sparse. Only 3 races in 2025. So, I am expanding my search to neighboring states. My preference is XC or XCM races. I wont travel for a short track race.

Thanks for the tip!

Dirt abides is no more. Not enough turnout last year. Evan from DA just announced a 50 miler in Wenatchee though, the Dirty Bloom 50 for May 2.

WA is lacking mtb events. The old epic series is gone for marathon races. We have the West Side mtb series which is mostly near Seattle, early (Feb - end of March), and XCO like for distance. In August, FOCF will have the Capitol Forest Classic with a fri night downhill, Saturday enduro, and Sunday XC. They are typically late to organize and announce details but probably early August.

There is also the 24 hour race in Spokane on Memorial day weekend.

Thanks. You have been very helpful.

Matt

All good info mentioned above…

Although you mentioned you won’t travel for short track series, Russ Stevens has the Wednesday Night World Championships (WNWC) around SeaTac usually starting around April or May…

Worth traveling if you’re visiting the area or friends/family => https://wednesdaynightworlds.bike/

There is or was another early spring / late winter XC series that previous promoter would put on that starts this month, but not sure who the new promoter is and if they were able to secure permits and restart the XC series, It would be held at venues like Soaring Eagle (Sammamish), Swan Creek (Tacoma), 360 Park (Gig Harbor), and Dash Point (FedWay) to name a few but can’t find who the new promoter is.

Anyways, keep at eye out on the WSBA calendar as that will be updated soon for ‘26 events (both road and dirt stuff) => Calendar - Washington State Bicycle Association serving Washington, Oregon and North Idaho

This was the Budu series, it is now the Westside mtb series.

thanks!

Sub’d since recently relocating to Washington! I’m signed up for 2 gravel races and 1 MTB race this year, but all in Oregon!

While not in Washington, have you considered the High Cascade 100 in Bend, or previously done it? I’m signed up for it this year.

To date, I have limited my mtb racing to ~ 50 miles. I have done the Ring of Fire in Bend, OR twice.

The HC 100 is a popular race. I am sure you will have a good time!

Regards,

Matt

Bummer. Consistent theme across lots of disciplines of cycling unfortunately
