Wahoo Elemnt Bolt (V2 Color)

Yes, where they were completely useless on V1 they are VERY visible on V2.

Yes. I saw a CyclingTips pic and the screen is MUCH clearer and less pixelated.

Agreed. The reason I bought my 1030 is because I like the Xert data fields.

I’d like to know the run time and if thats reduced. I can get through an MTB 12h with the V1, would the same be true with a V2…?

Yeah so I bought one. Couldn’t be helped. :man_shrugging:

Supposedly 15 hours for the new Bolt

Bought and used the new Bolt yesterday. Very nice. Setup is super easy and fast. Screen is very clear and easily seen. The colors for your HR and power zones is a nice touch that I feel will be pretty handy.

I’m quite interested in this as well. Hoping I can do that with w/kg field too, because I use that for pacing some of our club ride groups, particularly for the more casual ones where some are quite fit and others not so much.

Anyone know if this is available in Canada yet? The Canadian Wahoo site says coming soon and I haven’t come across it on any online shops.

Looks pretty nice. I really want to break with all things Wahoo, and perhaps integrate my Vectors with a Garmin head unit and maybe a Varia in the near future. Glad they fixed the Nav (maybe) because it kinda sucks on the V1.

Not a need right now. I’m eyeing a GoPro as a happy birthday to me.

Interested as well

Very interested! Anyone interested in a Bolt V1, please message me! :grinning:

Thanks for the replies on the Garmin 530. Really helpful, actually more use than wading through published reviews online. :+1:

Have an original elemnt and soo tempted by the new bolt. Out of interest does anyone know as I can’t find anywhere. I’m in the uk, when routing of re routing does it know where road bikes can’t go? For example my geography is appalling and don’t want to be guided in motorway etc haha. Always been slightly concerned, although sure I’d notice haha. More curious

There it is!

9g heavier than both the original and the stealth one. Much nicer screen, sadly not a little larger (smaller bezels).

I had ordered a new ROAM on Sunday night because I couldn’t find anywhere selling the Bolt v1. Was slightly annoyed when this new Bolt v2 dropped a couple days later but in fact have ordered one and will return the ROAM when it arrives. Happy days.

Does anyone know how the wahoo plays with outdoor workouts/adaptive training/train now?

I’m sure I heard that any outdoor workouts done on the wahoo don’t count towards progression levels yet or train now recommendations but I can’t find it as soooo many hundreds/thousands of forum posts and search won’t bring anything useful up.

I already have a element bolt and likely get the new one soon but I’ve also just got the AT invite and now weathers improving in the UK I’ll be doing a lot more workouts outdoors.

TR outside workouts are still not working fully for Wahoo, just Garmin at this time.

If anyone has any early experience of the new maps and routing I’d be interested to know more. I’m in an unfamiliar land for the next couple of years with some iconic cycling country and would love to explore more. Due to the immensely frustrating need to cycle on designated paths, a GPS is becoming essential and my old Bolt is not all that reliable when it comes to some of the stupid junctions we have (crossroads with 5 roads?!?).

Damn you’ll be so much slower up the hills.
