Is there a way to have TR rides be logged into GC so I can be eligible for the badges? I know it won’t work natively.
You will have to dual record with a Garmin device, watch or edge. I use the Edge.

TR is connected to my Tacx via BT. I have an ANT dangle on PC. Will the Edge record the power on trainer?
Yes, if you use ANT+ connection.

To do this, It’s best to pair the trainer with the Edge only as a PM. If you pair it as a trainer, there can be conflicts with TR (or other apps) controlling the trainer.
You may also be able to pair the trainer as a speed sensor and cadence sensor with the Edge, if you want that data too.
My TR rides upload to GC automatically. Those don’t count towards GC challenges?

Did my TR workout with Edge 1040 running. Strava has the TR workout data but GC has Edge data. Worked perfectly.

I pair mine as a trainer to my 840 and just select Free Ride. Never had a problem.

Nope, only activities recorded on a Garmin Device count for badges in GC. Training stress, recovery, etc does work on activities imported from TR.
