Updates aren’t on a consistent schedule, but I don’t think it’s uncommon to see an update every week or two.
Your app should update on its own too..
Are you still having connection issues?

Just the Bluetooth dropping out. It’s probably me not updating the app…or maybe my iPad is too old
What iOS is your iPad on?
26.6.1 and it’s a Generation 9
That’s the current OS..
Are you running any other apps on it while using TR?
How many and what types of devices are you using when training (both with and without the iPad, as well as TR-specific and others)?
I’m not running any other apps on my iPad when I’m training. My Wattbike has been recently serviced so I don’t think there’s an issue there.
I have a Garmin Heart rate monitor chest strap.
I often dual record on my Garmin watch to make sure I get my ride saved. Today the ride cut out after a few minutes so I switched off my watch and restarted and then the same problem occurred
so I just aborted like I did on Tuesday. That’s this week’s hard efforts gone.
Just seen there’s another update to TrainerRoad app.
Have I got to update every time I want to train?
It often updates every week, but I don’t think there is a set schedule to its frequency..
Dual recording often causes issues. I’d try a session without your Garmin watch to see how things behave. You shouldn’t need to do that.
Let me know what you find.
I did do a session without my Garmin watch, that was the second attempt. Still dropped out.
So to be clear, did the first attempt with Garmin watch recording, dropped out so though5 I would try without. Switched it off completely. Reloaded workout, dropped out again after a few minutes. Gave up.
Hey,
I dug into the logs from that Wednesday session, and it looks like both times the workout cut out, it was your Wattbike’s Bluetooth connection that was dropping. In the logs, power and cadence flatline right before the app starts throwing “device not discovered and connected” errors for the Wattbike itself, and then it’s marked as “lost” over Bluetooth.
I’d make sure nothing else has grabbed that Bluetooth connection. Bluetooth Smart can only pair to one device at a time, so if the Wattbike app itself, a bike computer, or anything else has a connection open to the Atom, the connection to the TrainerRoad app could get lost mid-ride even after a successful start.
Are there any other devices in the area that could be causing connection issues, such as other power meters/trainers, apps on your iPad, etc.? Was your Garmin watch turned off during that last test?
When was the last time you updated your Wattbike’s firmware?
Let me know what you find..
Thanks, I’ll double check everything.
Thanks. That seemed to go fine from what I saw. Had to re link my heart rate monitor again but I’ve seen that drop before in rides where I haven’t got sweaty enough!
