Triathlon Training Intensity

So maybe adaptive training or polarized Tri plans will solve my problem when available… However, I’m currently putting together a training plan for Xterra Worlds in December. I have always heard (TR podcast and elsewhere) that you should only really go hard ~3 times per week. However, almost every day in the specialty phase of the TR tri plan that I’m building is rated “Difficult”. See images attached, every day except for Sunday (rated moderate) is rated “Difficult”. This 48 year old body needs some recovery time in order to be able to put in good efforts on the hard days. How can I automatically adjust the intensity on some of the days to be more active recovery vs. “Difficult”?
