TrainerRoad - Feature Requests of what athletes expect / want in the future

I had something very similar happen to me.

As a quick fix, I would settle for just being able to write a note for every entry in the Account - FTP history. I have basically reverse-engineered what I think my FTP actually was going back a few years, so it would be nice to have it in one place.

I agree,

Currently usinger intervals.icu as a workaround as I here can go in on the activity with my PR’s that had the data from my left sided powermeter and ignore that. This makes a better picture on the grafs, so I can easily trace my improvements. Would be great to have something similar build into TR.

I’ve raised it here before, but I like to see the ability, on limited basis, to add historical AIFTP estimates.

Hi, it’d be more engaging and fun imo having the possibility of joining a Robopacer in zwift to do a TR workout. Sweet Spot and Endurance workouts could be done choosing a pacer riding at similar target power of your workouts. On the other hand, short rest intervals could help you developing your drafting and steering skills.

And sort of supporting the prior comment, I don’t know how many people switched from Zwift to TrainingPeaks Virtual, but I’m one of them and there’s no way I’m going back. I have to assume this platform will grow massively: it’s quite good, and TP/TPV cost me less than $100 annually while Zwift is over $200. Compelling.

So for TR’s purposes, it’s good to keep in mind both Zwift and TP Virtual.

Agree. TP Virtual keeps improving. I wasn’t a consistent enough user to justify paying for Zwift but since I already use TP it’s nice having TP Virtual there. And they keep improving it.

Just a little one but, is there any chance we could have a figure for the prescribed power on the analytical list? So if you are looking at an outside ride interval, you can see easily how close you were to the prescribed power?

I may be missing something, but at least when looking on my phone, I have to go back to the original workout to remind myself what the prescribed interval power had been.

On this list

On another thread @Jonathan brought some figures showing workout adherence, adherence for workout types and other stats.

I’d love to see those numbers for my self for the seasons selected for my power curve.

Hey all,
I’m using the Hexis app for tracking and periodizing nutrition around my training schedule, finding it beneficial for my needs. Is it possible to integrate trainerroad with Hexis in the future? Actually I’m syncing completed workout in Hexis trough Trainingpeaks, but future workouts need to be added manually in the app or copied in trainingpeaks to be considered by Hexis in its nutrition planning.
I would like to see planned Trainerroad workouts automatically uploaded in Hexis, eventually the evening before the scheduled day of workout execution, after the adaptations are done.

Also on a completed workout’s analysis page, I’d like to be able to see more than ten intervals’ details on screen at once. It could default to ten but be user-selectable. Not an issue if you’re looking at a 3×20 or 5×10 with flat intervals, but if you’re looking at a complex workout it means flicking through multiple screens, & back & forth a lot where an interval spans across a multiple of ten (they almost always do).

I’d like to see my PLs as they rated on any given day I had an activity. Right now, if my FTP is 200, and it was 200 3 months ago, there’s not much else to characterize the difference in fitness. My PLs might show that I was at 6 at Vo2 and 3 at the other, which would be a cool data point to correlate to performance. I get that changing FTP will change PLs, but understanding that, I think we can take it into account.

Has anymore been said about the calendar saying your next workout will be threshold or whatever it is going to be instead of showing an actual workout?

I would like to choose the type of event im training for and then say (or have it see) what my limiters are and make a plan based on that. So if i say hilly gravel race but i struggle with xxxx, it makes a plan that work on both-what the race needs and what is limiting you. A simple power profile test for AI to incorporate into training planning would be good.

Workout levels v2 and the fitness score would be cool

What’s fitness score? I might have missed this one.

I would love to see some basic analysis like Strava does - time in zones, that sort of thing.

I’d like to see something at all. Some sustainable and more regular feature / roadmap discussion with more concrete results as opposed to “behind the scenes fine tuning” speak and release notes.

If you click on a completed ride, Open Details, and then scroll down, you can see laps, power records, and power zones.

Agreed. I get that it’s hard to predict timelines and some planned features hit snags, but there’s a lot of smaller things that are more straightforward that could at least be mentioned as in the pipeline.

Heck, when they do make small changes they are often silent about it even after it launches, until someone asks a support question where it comes up.

Will we get GTA 6 or WLV2 first?
