TrainerRoad Calendar has Launched! - List of upcoming features!

I thought I’d just bring this “issue” to attention… Where 6 week avg and daily avg TSS projected in the future is different whether looking at the calendar from the calendar page or under the career page. I am currently experiencing this issue as well and have been for a while…

Happens to me every single time. No matter what detail in the planned workout I edit, as soon as I tick the box “workout completed” it closes that screen and marks the workout as done without any of my edits (i.e. as it was originally planned)

Hey ! Not sure if this is the place for that question, but I kinda feel like it’s related. So is there a plan to add a timeline graph / chart that plots fatigue, fitness, form and tss over time. Basically the only feature TR is missing from TP for me. This would make it easier to plan for races and peaking for me, and I’m sure lots of other people as well.

I’d hope that they can implement the same CSS/rTSS that TrainingPeaks uses. If I have to input these values manually I for one won’t be dropping TrainingPeaks for this!

Copy and paste feature should be on the top of the que. that will help a lot!

C/P of what exactly?

It already works for most stuff. The one missing right now is for Annotations.

Edit to add link to help, that has Copy options listed:

Anyone who wants Training Peaks style Fitness/Form/Fatigue charting outside of Training Peaks, you can use an app/Chrome extension called Elevate (it used to be called Stravistix). It pairs with and pulls the data from your Strava and is a donation only model. I use it with a free Strava account and it works great.

It’s done by a developer who pulls rides (and runs and swims) from your Strava account and does the standard Coggan model F/F/F chart as well as some nice graphs of year over year progressions. He also supports historical rider data (thresholds, FTPs, heart rates, weight, etc.) that allows for accurate and consistent measurements pegged to your actual fitness benchmarks at those specific periods.

And it displays a bunch of advanced ride and power metrics within Strava as well.

Would you mind taking a look now? We released a fix that should address this issue yesterday!

Seems to have worked. Thanks

We pushed out an update that should fix this issue with swim workouts. Now, if you update either the planned duration or distance manually, it will be the source of truth once that workout is marked as completed.

Just wanted to say much kudos on this feature set. It has just enough stuff for my use that I am able to pull myself away from TrainingPeaks (it also helped that there are workouts from Strava that wouldn’t import at all into TP, but will do so in TR).

Also, kudos on having FTP history. When using other solutions, it’s a huge pain point for me to go back to an old workout or race having to figure out if the zones for that race reflect my current FTP or FTP at the time (usually the former). It ends up domino-ing because then I question if other items like IF or TSS are using the wrong FTP when I’m trying to assess what my training or a particular workout was like a few seasons ago. While I’ve yet to execute this workflow with TR, seeing FTP history does give me hope and at least something to facilitate my analysis. If I had to propose an enhancement, I’d consider exploring the idea of also including weight and w/kg as part of the FTP history.

Keep up the great work.

I’m not reading 333 posts in this, but is there a way to edit the blocks/weeks to move things around easier instead of deleting workouts from ‘X’ to ‘Y’ points? Last time I moved around my blocks, it was a headache. Say, i want to do four weeks of short power then start crit high volume. The last thing I want to do is go and delete the rest of short power workouts. Should just do it automatically.

Nothing right now for pulling only certain weeks from a plan. You need to pull a complete one in, delete weeks or workouts, and shift to the desired location. Not ideal.

They have mentioned that there will be some options along the lines of your request. Just no idea when or exactly how it will work.

No worries. Wasn’t sure if it was in there or not. Thanks for the reply.

Hi TrainerRoad, do you have in plans to highlight race weeks on the TSS chart above the calendar?

Yes, we had an engineer try to implement it but we ran into issues. We have it on the back burner right now, but we’ll revisit it later.

Have you already thought about putting % ftp on the screen and explanations in training abroad?

We don’t think you need percent FTP while training live. It doesn’t change anything about your workout. You can always see your percent FTP before and after your ride with a mouse hover.
