Awesome!!! Thanks so much! I mithered about this awhile back and the other priorities have gladly been completed and you release this - brilliant!! Itโs now standardised (with a few extraโs )
Iโm guessing there could be a limitation, but iโll put it out there - Any chance of making the minimised window transparent or enable a variable user transparency? This would really enhance, for them loooong rides. Nice to keep an eye on things, without minimising it completely.
Lastly, the Title bar - anyway, can it have an auto hide function when TR is minimised? The UI is impressive and having that title bar detracts from the other window real estate and its look - I know itโs only small, but every inch counts
@Nate_Pearson are there any plans to make the desktop or iOS apps more compatible with Voiceover and other accessibly features to slow visually impaired athletes to use them for their training?
Yes, Iโve been putting in some of the things needed for this (accessibility targets) but weโre still a ways off. We are much closer now with this new desktop app (and soon on the mobile app) for better features for visually impaired athletes.
Iโd personally really like a screen reader to read our workout text. That combined with an ERG trainer could make for a pretty nice experience for visually impaired athletes. Maybe then have the ability to toggle through the current stats to understand how much time is left in the workout and interval or what their current power target is.
Thanks, @Nate_Pearson! This is awesome to hear. If you need people to test out the accessibility of the desktop or mobile apps let me know and I can put you in touch with some VI athletes. Appreciate the work you all are doing!
I like all the new features, but I have a few thoughts after using the new app:
The font on the power numbers is too small. There is a lot space around all of the text.
I now have to press more buttons to rename devices. This seems like a backwards step.
The whole program lags for a couple of second every time I change the bias up or down. And it seems to lag the more I change it. E.g. I want to increase the workout by 5% then i get 5x more lag time.
I just downloaded the app but have not done a ride yet. One thing I noticed was the pairing with my Vector 3 pedals went smoothly and TR now shows the battery life, which is awesome! The original app I also was not able to perform the calibrate function with TR and had to use my Garmin 920XT. TR now paired with no issues.
Hi, yes I understand that you can move the horizontal divider.
But even if you move it down, the text size seems a little bit too small. There is too much space around each of the characters.
Letโs keep it in context though, if weโre discussing text size then obviously the product is pretty darn good
Is there a chance of having a toggle switch on the UI to turn off/on โIn Ride Instructional Textโ?
If Iโve done a workout before or donโt want to do the leg drills etc, I have to go into settings which stops the workout whilst I turn it off.
It would be great to just have a small toggle switch in a corner to turn them on and off.
A formal issue has been made for slow intensity adjustment when holding down the up/down arrow keys on Windows. An engineer should take a look in the near future.
