I have a small issue with the new app on a new device Iβm hoping someone can suggest a fix for (or change in the app).
I have just purchased a new Tablet to be able to run the new app (Samsung Tab A7). As it will be permanently mounted on the bench in front of my trainer I want it locked in Landscape mode. The old app did this just fine, however the App keeps flicking to portrait even though the screen orientation is locked.
Ok, so it looks like if I leave the screen orientation unlocked TR will happily stay in Landscape (as long as I donβt move the tablet obviously), so thatβs good.
Now Iβm wondering if itβs possible to increase the size of the font of all the numbers? If itβs not currently possible, could it please be a feature request @IvyAudrain ?
Is it something that would likely be adjusted in the future? Or is it a massive PITA?
One other note, the Power and HR lines in the graph seem to be overly thick (Samsung Tab A7) which looks a bit weird to me, and removes the finer detail.
The inability to multi tap, or tap on multiple minute buttons to extend the cooldown seems to still persist. I know you said the engineer couldnβt duplicate it but this is on a completely separate (and brand new/mainstream) device.
Oh nooooo. Sorry thatβs still persisting, do you mind emailing into support@trainerroad.com so they can take a deep dive into your devices, log, version of the app, and make sure there isnt either an easy fix OR a bug report if that needs to take place?
Random question, when the pop up with notes flicks up (i.e. under the hood improvements) are those already applied, or a notification to go and download the latest update?
I always thought the build notes would flick up first time after updating, but the last few times theyβve shown up and thatβs when Iβve gone to update the app.
An auto-extend to cooldown which is pretty awesome. Donβt know yet if it auto extends when you reach the end of the cooldown the first time (I had already extended once before seeing the text at the end of that portion).
Ok, it doesnβt do it every time. @IvyAudrain any notes on when this works/how to encourage it to auto-extend?
This is just in beta! We snuck this in as part of our Accessibility updates, so since its still testing and not perfect.
This was created for voice-over athletes so they wouldnβt have to activate their phone to extend cooldown, but weβre trying out some small improvements to the workout player so that we can release it to more athletes once we refine it!
Ok, sorry for shining a light on it. Looks promising and auto-extend is something Iβd greatly appreciate for any ride.
If I were to be bold enough to suggest how Iβd make it work. Iβd have it be as simple as if someone carries on pedalling for 30seconds beyond the end of the workout, it would automatically carry on 10min at a time.
Either way, love your work! Really appreciate the incremental changes. The dimensions on my new tablet are much nicer and it all adds to an improved experience.
Is it possible to turn off the PL celebration animation? Ideally per device. It is just a mild inconvenience on my tablet (main setup).
It is/would be fine on my phone when I do workouts there, but on my tablet itβs just an extra screen to slow things down and navigate passed when getting off, or more importantly trying to quickly dial up an endurance workout to tack on.
I switched from using an old android phone to the windows client a while ago, and found power match in win being superior to android. How is powermatch in android now?
If I go back to android, will PM be as good as win?
Just wondering if thereβs any tips or hints for the auto extend cooldown function that (I presume) was part of the accessibility function listed in the latest Beta updates?
Pedal to Extend can be toggled on and off at will by any non-VoiceOver athlete but is turned on always for athletes using VoiceOver, even if the Pedal to Extend setting is toggled to βoffβ. VoiceOver athletes are warned before the cooldown is extended, but 30 seconds before the end you will have the βpedal to extend cooldownβ option appear. You can cancel it if you stop pedaling less than a minute after extending the workout, or keep pedaling to extend!
